Believe me, it was never my intention, given the fact that it would have had a derogatory effect, with it being the entire thrust of my argument.

To claim we are a brilliantly ran business is ludicrous. There is no business sense in constantly reducing your costs/overheads when the impact of doing this is that at some stage your turnover will reduce even further. Whilst some will claim the Allams are taking no the risk approach to try and break even in the Championship, if they continue to do so they will relegate us. It might not be this season but if we stay up, I have no doubt we will go down next season. What will they do then? Reduce costs because they need too? Reduce them so far that we then get relegated to League Two?
Reducing costs in isolation is not a great business strategy. If you can reduce costs that don't impact the running of your business or have minimal impact on your business, then fair enough. But the Allams haven't done that, they have reduced costs that have had a hueg impact on their business and will lead to a significant reduction in turnover/income at some point.
A well ran business explores opportunities to expand, and increase revenue (Promotion) and income not constantly reduce costs and not care about their income/revenue streams. We missed a huge opportunity to when we had the parachute payments to push for the Premier League whilst still breaking even/winning promotion. If they had reinvested some of the millions they got from selling Maguire etc... there is no doubt we would have been in the promotion conversation.
The Brentford thing has been done to death, with figures given time and time again, which people choose to ignore. Brentford through development of their old ground will be debt free. This is brilliant business, investing their money wisely into assets that can produce a profit.

100% agree with the opening sentence.
To alienate and decimate your customer base (along with a range of other key stakeholders) is not how to be a brilliantly run business / best run club. It mattered less in the PL, it matters massively now.

Sorry, but this idiot would again venture the suggestion that separating the football club from business makes sense.
Ignoring the fact that it’s a football club, driving down revenue and progressively making your product poorer, is a terrible way to run any business.

Their business model is terrible and even viewing the club solely as a business is not a positive light for the Allams.
