I used to have this game, really liked it, but yeah footy version better. A better board game for cricket was the Gillette cup game

A pitch with a bit of uneven bounce should be decisive in England's favour. If Cook has balls (after taking one in them) he should set some attacking fields and really go for it. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Aussies run us close though if their big guns can get a start...
