    Yeah, I spotted that when I re-read it. I feel a bit sorry for the bloke to be honest. It definitely sounds he bollocksed it up saying there was no problem but you'd think Maggie and Congers would think 'hang on a minute, all these geezers are saying he's got dodgy knees so maybe we should look into it a bit deeper'.

    I have no doubt it will come out that the pair of them encouraged him to make the deal happen, but it still comes back on him.

    We rejected players galore on medical grounds for a spell then signed a lemon. Alvarez was a very good player but worthless. The doctor basically HPI checked us a Porsche with no MOT and massive engine problems.

    You’d take that garage to court.

    the story is in the sun but not the echo ? strange. i have read though. Will the (possible) new billionaire owners take this up ?

    i wonder if this will happen with Watmore. I remember another case a few year back where the player had arterial problems in his legs which were not spotted. how many other cases will crop up in the future ? maybe those in charge like the rodwell situation are partly to blame. What about managers who got us relegated as well they were not competant enough whatever.
