I'm not bothered. If he goes to Man Utd, fair enough but if he goes to Liverpool rather than stay here then he'll make himself look like a greedy cock.

With recent events I'm not too sure the footballing world concerns itself too much with legality

Frankimus, is your ITK the parrot that was friends with your neighbours cat? I seem to recall a few years back that you had a knowledgeable parrot.... Or something :)

No matter what anyone says, Liverpool are still in a far, far better position long term than us to win trophies/challenge for top four, throw in that they pay more money and I can't see how anyone could call Clyne an idiot for wanting the move.

It is much more in the way he goes about leaving (if he does leave).

That's some crazy memory you got there :)

Yeah I knew that Matt Jarvis was not interested in signing for Saints despite widespread reporting that he was in 2012 via the same person

If also true, it would mean Clyne has been playing the club a bit. Billy Supersound is usually spot on.

But do you see them threatening the top 4? I don't. They're poor compared to the top 4 and have a manger under severe pressure.

Anyway, sell them another couple and they'll only ever be as good as our glass season from last year as they'll virtually be us!

To be honest, they're getting worse and worse. Without serious investment they'll be hovering 6th-10th for a long time.

Saints have to now consider Liverpool a direct rival based on table position, so surely we have to raise the price even higher?

No I don't, but I see them in a better position than us to, and also a better position than us to be playing regularly in some European competition over the next 4/5 years or whatever his contract length might be. If his options are 1) stay at Saints 2) go to Liverpool or 3) go to Man Utd then yes he is an idiot for choosing Liverpool, but if only options 1 or 2 are possible then I don't really blame him.

Just sounds odd is all, going to Man United one minute, changing his agent, Koeman and Reed saying that they're confident that he'll stay, then off to Liverpool. Cant begrudge him the move as Saint Magic said, if it does come to fruition then you'd hope he'd go about it the right way is all.
