Why would anyone sign Gaston after Koeman's comments on his fitness? Certainly no team in the EPL or top of the Championship....would have to be desperate to sign him. Now why did Pompey just pop into my head

I'd argue we don't need him enough to justify his fee. Elia would be a small fee, Levy wants £10m for Townsend.
Not on that high a wage is he, thought it was around 30kGet rid asap, free up large volume of wages and put this down to experience

I do feel a bit sorry for Gaston actually as it can't be easy for him having his career so curtailed with these injuries. We seem to be in the habit of almost blaming him for being injured - I'm pretty sure he's not doing it on purpose! Just an unfortunate biological turn of events.
He wouldn't be the first South American to be continuously "injured" while earning a nice little salary and miraculously still turning out for his national team.
Villa to sign Rudy Gestede, I'm interested to see how he will get on in the PL.
It depends really, if he is eating right and exercising right and getting enough rest and still gets injured then you can't blame him. But then if he isn't Ramirez is to blame.Good point....not even the first in a Saints shirt.....
Just doesn't strike me as that kind of character though mind you.

In the one cup game I watched him in last year, I was very impressed. Very strong and excellent at holding up the ball.
