Steklenberg, Davis
Soares, Martina
Fonte, Gardos
Yoshida, ???
Bertrand, Targett
Wanyama, Reed
Schneiderlin, Ward-Prowse
Davis, Juanmi
Rodriguez, Tadic
Mane, Long
Pelle, Gallagher

Two players for every position has to be the minimum.
For me a CB, CM(replace Morgan) & another forward thinking player to replace Gallagher on that list gives us two decent starting elevens.

The rest of the squad is then fleshed out with youngsters and perhaps loans.
Unless we can get them for cheaper think we will spend around £10m each on all three required signings

I would like to see us sign a player from the domestic market. Must be another Clyne or Jay Rod out there

Yeah, 10-15m seems to be about the natural level of talent we can get. Not that we couldn't or wouldn't pay more, but those players won't sign. Clasie is a good example. If he wants to come here we can probably get him for under 15m. If a big club gets involved, we might not be able to get him even for 20m.

I think three more players (CM, CB, some kind of forward) at around 30m sounds about right. But I also think we have some more money and time on our hands to look at more long-term investments as opposed to last year. So it wouldn't surprise me if we went out and bought a couple 19-20 year old starlet types for the future.

I don't see Reed and JWP as direct replacements for Big Vic and Morgan, both are more in competition for Davis but are versatile. Certainly JWP is not the best tackler I have seen.
For me we need a top quality CB and two solid DM to replace Morgan and Cork.
That's to get us back to where we were last season!

Chelsea must have someone else available for us to loan from them (and if they can be as successful for us as Bertrand, then all the better).

I can never decide if I like Victor Moses or not.

I'll decide for you, Brendster: you don't. <laugh>

I think Reed is, just obviously a different style of DM - more Cork style harrying than Morgan's elegance or Vic's wrecking ball. JWP, yeah totally agree, he's a Davis replacement/alternative.

According to the Italian press we were to late to get Ogbonna as he had agreed to join West Ham already . Oh well...
