So whats the latest with the Bullard situation then OLM? AP sounded pretty adamant that he was staying in his interview on Humberside the other week that hes staying and happy enough, and in another thread you wrote something slightly cryptic about him doing something untoward in Slovenia (and him not being as popular with the players as some people on here suggested)/ in this one you're suggesting its looking like he might go.
Still think we need one more defender as cover... but not too bothered if we don't I think our dealings in the transfer window have been very good
I'm no McShane fan but there is absolutely no way on earth I'd play Bradley or East ahead of him. I like Bradley a lot and with a few games at a lower level, I think he'll do well for us. east is nowhere close to being a first teamer.
I understand he's in bother and has been fined for something that happened in Slovenia, but I have no details of what it was(other than a suggestion it was drink related), I thought it might have leaked out by now. I assume something will come out if he continues to absent from the pre-seasons.
Any predictions about the likelihood of further signings are irrelevant. The Pearsons will keep their options open to the end of the window even if they produce a statement to the contrary. They have to do this because the Bullard / Olofinjana situations could change at any time. Basically if NP has a good opportunity of a getting the players he needs he will go for them even if the media has been told the opposite.
It was publised by Shakespere when they were in Slovenia, stating that they will always be looking to bring people in. So saying theres deffo not gonna be anymore signings isnt accurate. Just likely, wouldn't write it off!
I never said it would be ideal. But sometimes you have to make do and mend. IMO, Kilbanes best ever game for Hull City was that PL game @ Bolton when he played centre half. Must agree though that KK looked slow even @ Ferriby and that was before be pulled a hamstring.
No more incomings now, even if there are outgoings, at least that's what I was told. None of this is my opinion by the way, it comes from our management.
we still have one Anthony Gardner on our books unless I missed something. I know we are trying to offload but he's still in the house AFAIK.
Never Say Never. I dont expect any in for sure before the Blackpool game. But by the 31st August who knows. Just been ready an interview with Kenny Dalglesh. He states that Liverpool now have to offload some of there lesser lights to raise / save some cash for new buys. So dont rule out the Ayala deal (loan at least) at some point. On the 1.05 sports desk NP was pretty hard on Burnsie when he mentioned Bullard. All NP said was JB might be invoiced at Winterton. Then ended that part of the conversation. It was known via player tweets that JB had been the life and soul at times whilst away ? So if JB has been drinking then he has only himself to blame. Aty least 2 weeks wages saves the club 90k. One way or another this needs to be sorted and quick. Bullard and a fit Oli can still have a massive impact on the pitch.
I wouldn't bet any money on JB playing tonight, I hear he has been suspended for two weeks (not sure if fined any wages though). The secret 'incident' didn't happen in Slovenia, but did involved a taxi from London/being late to training/and of course drink!
If this is the case then City will have problems shifting him. OR is it better to let him carry on doing this and keep fining him 2 weeks wages ? whatever, its all getting very tiresome now.
He won't be stupid enough to keep doing it. If he did then surely we could terminate his contract. I would imagine a footballers contract is full of stipulations due to the nature of the job and the massive wages. The club would no doubt love an opportunity to get rid of him for nothing.
if there's any truth in this then it just goes to prove once again that "i just want to play football" are nothing more than hollow words. COYH
