Probably a gross over-simplification but it seems like a lot of people that haven't had the benefit of seeing Super Seb in action think he's an asset based on the raw stats whereas people who have the privilige to pay to watch our boys week in week out are amazed that a player with the worst first touch since Marc Nygaard has made any kind of career in football.
Sadly I was searching for examples of his excellent skills, but could only come up with this clip of Rooney wearing a wig. And stilts.
In the last few games, who has played better than Polter? Having watched Hull and Ipswich, I would have him near MOTM in both.
Not much. He Held the ball up and then sent a great Pass up the left flank for Phillips, then Ran like hell to get in the box for a cross, which he Headed powerfully into the net. Last game he scored with a Shot.
As long as Polter keeps scoring goals, he can stay in the side. As a footballer, he's really not very good.
I was never a big fan of Zamora (although he'll always be a legend after Wembley), but Polter is nowhere near as good a player as him. I don't particularly rate JET either.
Haven't seen enough of JET to have a real opinion......and let's be honest, Bobby wasn't playing at the peak of his career when he got to us.....though I'll love him forever for THAT goal. Sorry if my opinion seems to of upset a few on here, and granted, if he keeps putting the ball in the net, the lad has surely earned his place in the team.....its just myself and a lot of others who have seen him play think he is not a very good footballer.
He put himself about a bit, worked hard and caused their defense some problems when he got a bit to work with. Missed a chance. Scored when he got another. Don't know why so many rubbish a new young QPR player who has done pretty well when given a chance. I'll be surprised if our decent young Players like him don't move on when they can get abuse almost as soon as they get a game in front of our support.
Seem Cant say I've heard any abuse towards him at the games I've attended, in fact everyone within earshot in the paddock where I sit, is willing the lad to play well...its just the vast majority don't think he is a great footballer. Maybe on the TV you might hear the abuse you talk of but I honestly haven't heard any at the games
I read on here he got a huge amount of abuse in one of the first games he played in -can't remember which.
And I'll say again......I've never heard any towards Polter... Hoilett, Henry, Green....Heard a lot this season
