I think Fernandes is losing it if today's tweets are anything to go by. I don't think it is wise for him to expose himself to keyboard warriors particularly at a time like this.
 
Tony's complete backing of Harry on twitter today could spell the end of our latest short stay in this league.

It is a very difficult decision for him, but imo Harry will take us down..............UNLESS he changes his current way of operating.

There is a very good case for arguing that we were purchased for business reasons rather than for running a fotball club. If Old Oak goes ahead under their proposals, the financial gain would dwarf the losses on the football side.

2) HR! This problem goes back to appointing him as a replacment to Hughes. The Premier should have been written off at that point & the job given to a manager with long term aims.

I would be very happy for TF to sack HR, KB, JJ & GH today but PLEASE don't immediately replace then by quickly hiring Pulis, Moyes or anybody else for the short term.

Take your time & then commit to a manager that will build for the future. After all, placing the team in the hands of Clint Hill or ANO for a couple of months stands more chance of working than having HR in charge!

Agree with this. I see the long term project for the Mittals has always been to develop the west area to be a new Canary Wharf type project - with significant housing etc. It will create loads of jobs and then wealth and they can get the planning permission through the football club. There is an article in the Economist about this and us about 2 weeks ago. The losses are in this context small things that the clubs owners can pick up. Staying in the Prem is critical to this plan however - we the fans have nothing to do with the inside dealing that happens to make big infrastructure developments happen - that is the world of steel magnets. TF is the front man only to manage the club and keep the family in relatively low profile..... but I still believe that the Mittals have love for the club alongside all of the $$$ interests. Time will tell.
 
Did you see Harry take a phone call in the dug-out on Sky. He got a call and passed it straight to Kevin Bond. The bloke can't even take a call, let alone get out into the technical area. No chance of Harry being shoved by Arsen.
He really is past it, I am sorry to say. Time to go.

It doesn't mention Mittal, Fernandes or anything in detail just that local councils can extract cash from stadia developments, so they like them. Why is staying in the Prem critical to the property development? They will get the profit of using the stadium as a Trojan Horse/bait for the rest of the development whatever league we are in. Though it will be a bit naff if Steel City features a Conference club as its centrepiece.

The stadium development now has very little to do with the club. It's a vehicle for mega wealth creation. Understandable why our owners get all moist about it, but let's not kid ourselves that 'love of the club' has anything to do with it. The thing that pisses me off is that all of our eggs are in this particular basket and we are royally screwed if it doesn't work out.

By the way Telford, debts don't always have to be repaid. They can be written off (like the Thai owners of Leicester City did), or we can default on them and go into administration/bankruptcy. If the owners hit the jackpot on Old Oak Common they might write off their input, who knows. Or they might start paying themselves back when we start making a profit (ha! sorry, couldn't resist......)

SB - this is the long term project that they have always spoken of. I think the club and being in the Prem is a good grease to the wheels of local politics. Agree it is all about mega wealth creation and I am still optimistic about the long term (not Harry) with these backers. I don;t think the Mittals like being in the limelight - hence TF...

I've just read on LFW that The Standard is reporting that Car Giant have now submitted their own plans for re-development.

Will our owners remain if they lose the contract for old Oak?
