I don’t mind admitting that I cried today. This project seems to have taken forever and to see this magnificent structure open at long long last with so many happy faces inside today, was just great. it was a real privilege to be there.

A massive round of applause to Daniel Levy for delivering.

I always felt when I went to Wembley that the bars and food areas, were no more than 3 star rating and trapped in a time warp. Still a bit dark and dingy and if there were any decent pubs nearby, then they would be far preferable. Manky grub served by grumpy Russians.

At the NWHL, we’re talking genuine 5 star ratings here. The bars are bright, airy and vibrant. The staff are chirpy, well dressed (always important to me) and give prompt and polite service.

We’re talking about a proper sports arena here, a genuine top class venue.

Honestly guys, was speechless once I got pitch side. It was everything I imagined it'd be and more. Decided to walk round most of the stadium after the match and grab some pics, me and the boys ended up being the only guys inside the stands apart from the stewards at one point. Enjoyable game of football as well, the young lads done us proud. Pic quality has been decreased to fit all in:

My View from the South Stand:

View from West Stand after game (person closest to the centre circle was a certain Ryan Mason):

Couple legends on the outside, no biggie:

Best bit about meeting Micky and Graham was Graham's banter. As we left the stadium, we spotted people having a pic with Micky so asked if we could grab one, said to him we'll see him next week and had a twenty second chat about how amazing the stadium was. As we walked off, my mate then clocked that standing next to Micky with his back turned was Graham, so we walked back and asked for a pic, he said "Oh you did recognise me then, lads!", we laughed and replied saying "sorry mate we only saw you from the back" and he then said "Hope you're not trying to imply anything!" <laugh>. Pair of diamonds, top blokes and were both so happy to take pics with us and have a chat. Topped off what was a great day. We probably could've also grabbed a pic with J'Neil Bennett who was about 30 yards from Micky and Graham but he was having an interview with some fan group thing so didn't wanna bother him, safe to say he's gonna remember his goal for the rest of his life, not often you score the very first goal at a brand new ground.

    Thanks for sharing DH <ok>

The stadium blows all others out of the water across every single measurable it really is as simple as that.

The pic you took from the north stand is breathtaking.

So much of it is just simple common sense.

If you're a supporter with kids, you cannot do a pub on match day.
With 60K attendances, even doing a meet at the usual pubs is
going to be much more congested (who wants to stand outside on
    a bad weather day ?? ) .

All that remains now are the train links (because the trip between WHL
and Seven Sisters will now be hideous, especially for midweek games) .

Well done Levy...I know I'm keen to have a go at you like but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate what you've done for us <applause>

Now can we turn our attention to building the team please!

    Place looks ****ing incredible lads.

WHL was always one of my fave away grounds (was also my first ever away game back in the 90’s).

Hopefully will get a chance to visit at some point in the next 30 years or so!

Puts your whole club on another level, no ****ing about.

Just in! TalkSport reaction to new stadium:

Sterling has never played a bad match for club and country and he's getting better. Pass the kleenex. Liverpool are great, we've got our Manchester United back. Spurs didn't buy any players in the transfer window.

    Adrian Durham specific reaction:

It's no big deal and it's late and over budget. Spurs shouldn't be allowed to play there this season.

When you have been in the stands at WHL for a 50K min attendance,
you realise how much bigger new WHL would have to be to generate
the same crowd intensity (that is an open challenge for all attendees
    of new WHL :) ) ...

When the beat l'arse, the walk, or should I say float, down to Seven Sisters is wonderful.

Actually, have we heard from any Soton 606 people who were at the match ??

All very nice proclaiming the greatness of new WHL, but the crowning glory
IMHO would be to know that the catering facilities etc are as good for away
supporters as it is for home.
