Copied here as seems a more fitting place than the Leeds thread?

Disagree John. They aren't hell bent on running the club into the ground. They honestly think they are doing a good job - "creating a sustainable club with it's own identity of playing attractive attacking football with young exciting talent that fans will want to watch". And they'll believe it isn't their fault that it's failing (just like the failed name change, the failed ticket model, whatever).
They are of course utterly deluded. As well as incompetent, arrogant, stubborn, despicable liars.
It's nonsense for us to keep repeating things like 'they are hell bent on running the club into the ground'. It's even more nonsensical for them in one breath to state "we (as in the Allams) know nothing about football" then in the next breath to be laying down how the club will play from top to bottom.
I suspect McCanns hands are at least partly tied, given that he came in under agreement to this 'philosophy'. Nige obviously knew what was coming and couldn't buy into it; fair play to him for simply walking away.
Best thing they could do, other than just ****ing off of course, would be to step away from it other than the finance side, then hand all operational & footballing matters over to a footballing man (an Adam Pearson type) and replace McCann with a wiley manager who really knows what he's doing.
Losing Adkins was careless to say the least; a very decent manager & coach, a very decent bloke and someone who wouldn't demand the earth.
They are utterly clueless but, back to the point, believe they are doing a good job but everyone else is wrong and are failing them. .

Spot on mate..

Is he applying for jobs tho? Seems to be enjoying his walks on Twitter <laugh> and I’m sure he’s not short of a bob or two or he wouldn’t have left in first place
Never have too much money
Wouldn't have left in the first place if he felt he could do a job in these circumstances.
and no reason why he wouldn’t come back he got on well with the owners for many years

and there will be plenty of other managers who would come here

He walked of his own volition after seeing what he'd have to be working with. That is now less. There's absolutely no evidence he might have changed his mind.

Yes, there are plenty of managers that would come here, but in the summer we were shopping in the league 1 market and even then didn't get our first choices. Mccann was deemed pick of the bunch that were interested. Why do you think we'd attract someone more proven now?

Money
It’s not difficult is it
It’s their job

I don't see that there's significant money on offer. Besides, you can earn more money in the longer term by maintaining a strong cv and waiting for a better job prospect to come along. That's clearly what he decided to do 9 months ago.

There reaches a point where you have to keep your name in the frame. When NA came here he hadn't been sighted for what was it 4 years and whilst I'm sure he's been applying for jobs, he hasn't been getting them, no matter how good a job he did here. He's around 55 and with foreign managers coming in, young managers coming through, a chance to get your name out there is as good as having a CV in hand. Its moot anyway, whoever comes in will only be on a short term contract anyway I suspect. Thats if someone comes in.

youre desperate to not have a new manager aren’t you

If you read my earlier posts I've said it's getting to the point we need to gamble on it, even if it's for just a change of squad mindset and in the hope of a new manager bounce.

Long term though, if we do stay up I'm skeptical as to whether it will make much difference without signing some proven quality at this level, and the funds don't appear to be there.

And arguing that a manager who's already walked away cos he didn't want to be a league 1 manager is unlikely to change his mind now we're closer to that is not the same as saying mccann is the right man to take us forward. I'm not sure he is at the moment, though there is mitigation for him.

It's called having a balanced viewpoint.

In accounting terms, I'm sure they feel they are doing a good job. I can imagine their Idea of a good result is being ahead of budget in any given month, not whether the team wins or not.

Surely in footballing terms even they can't be stupid enough to think they are doing a good job, our league position is evidence of what sort of job in footballing terms they are doing.

I honestly don't think they'll see it that way!
They can rarely if ever accept they are wrong. They'll see it that they've implemented this wonderful enlightened progressive club identity based on sustainability, playing style, recruitment policy, and up & coming bright manager, etc etc. It will be the fault of others, and bad luck, not theirs. Just like they still maintain the name change was a great / the right idea, same with their plans for the KC & surrounds, the ticketing model, whatever. .

:emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash: He’s not getting paid is he
No job
No pressure really
Everyone thinks we’re down
Gets a big bonus if he keeps us up and a tidy sum if he doesn’t

He left because he could see what was coming, he’s unlikely to change his mind now it’s actually come to fruition.

No point saying who would
We need him out
His subs his decisions
His demeanour
His treatment of dan batty
Get rid
It’s the only chance we have of avoiding the drop
And that’s now a reality and it shouldn’t be. these players are comfortably a mid table team with a league one manager and it shows
No motivation no hunger no drive no passion
He needs to go and go now.
Agree completely
