Do the fish & chip shops in Cheshire serve curry sauce or mushy peas with fish and chips?

Sort your geography knowledge. Is Cheshire in the South? Of course they serve curry & peas.

On a side The chippy at Burstwick, The Purple Fish, is very good. Been a couple of times in the last month. They do proper traditional homemade patties with none of the sage & onion stuffing mix added, as many now do,

I was an occasional poster on City Mad and the BBC site before it switched to Not606. The past ten years have flown by and this site is the second stop after checking my e-mails every day - it's a great source of up to date news (local, national and international), the debates and banter are sometimes frustrating but never dull and, best of all, the site is a rich source of pure comedy gold. Long may it continue and, to save typing, I'll take this opportunity to wish all posters and lurkers all of the very best, not just for the coming year but for at least the next ten.
A very good post.
I’ve speculated before what would we do if something happened to this site?? there aren’t any other city message boards are there?

What sort of price are we looking at for fish and chips these days(I haven't been down for a year:emoticon-0101-sadsm)? My wife got one last night up here, fish and chips,2 pickled onions...£8.40.Unfortunately she left me half of it in the microwave and I ate it at 10 o'clock(after work)....Crap as usual,I've told her to catch me a haggis for tonight's offering!!!

'No scraps' I asked?? Not tonight Ric it was quiet!!!(Saturday nights usually nailed on for scraps in the Chippy,The Indian and the Chinese.)....

Just checked. Done nearly 6 years. Any time off for good behaviour?

I was City Independent and Hull City Mad before joining. I used to enjoy those forums.

Thanks to everyone who posts and keeps me updated on all things City and other stuff both Hull ('The' link to my past) and 'non' Hull related. . Hopefully we can all get back to watching live football sooner rather than later.

Large haddock, large chips with scraps, two battered sausages, mushy peas, four slices of heavily-buttered white bread, loads of salt, vinegar and ketchup and a tin of dandelion and burdock on the side to wash it down with (or a bitter shandy if I feel like treating myself)

Argue with that one and I'll ****in deck ya
