QPR 2-2 Reading. Shorey, of all people. Cesar fluffed it.
Played a blinder against us, though. <doh>

Steve Frogatt's been very impressed by Dawson tonight.
Good to hear. Hope he starts in Greece.

great to see first goals for Vert and Sig and of course first of season for Townsend who i think should be threatening Lennon for a starting berth...even though he is a lefty.

The League Cup Show is on BBC1 tonight at 11.15, for anyone that's interested.
Might want to make a cup of tea when the Goons are on though, as they've just gone 6-1 up.

Townsend on the right is no competition for Lennon. He looks out of sorts on that side most of the time.
I'd be very happy to see him start on the left in the Europa, though.

3-0 FT. Good to see Dawson and Huddlestone back in the side, a clean sheet and a couple of players opening their accounts for us, plus no injuries.

This may be one reason no one is paying me millions to manage a football team. But that is what I would have done.

The only time a player should be given the option to play or not, is if the player has an injury which makes him 50/50 and only the player knows if he is capable of playing. Even then the manager must make the final decision.

Lloris is not injured, so the decision is with AVB. There is no "do you want to play or do you not" situation. Good grief, we pay AVB a couple of million a year to make his own decisions, not for the player to make it for him !!

Great night of football, and it can only get better (c'mon west brom!)

Swindon away next please.

and stick Bale on Right? im trying to put a stoke up Lenonon's arse here....as good as he has been im not happy with his final choices.

I know it's only carlisle, but it sounds like another good win, with first teamers getting more confidence and just rewards, and younger players getting a real run out. I've always thought it best to use a squad, rather than have a first team and reserves.

I do want to see Dawson, Thud, Caulker and Hugo get more time though. Can kind of see the arguement that Carlo should be played, I'd have prefured Lloris, however AVB has inherited this squad and has to keep it a happy one. It shows gomes he still has a chance and means they will all be going for it in training. Next year AVB probably wont have to be so generous as we most likely wont have 4keepers.
