Well with Chelsea and Arsenal blasting six each I wanted the 4th goal and it nearly was but for a fantastic save. Villa hit four. With the other teams like Man U struggling a bit it's difficult to see who's going to knock the Chavs and goons out of this competition unless they play each other. As for us a clean sheet and one defeat in seven so let's get off AVB's back now regardless of what happens at Trafford.

I'd actually give Jenas a go on the right. Giving him a few games in the League Cup or Europa League will benefit him more than a loan to Forest for a month, in all likelyhood.
Not his natural role perhaps, but I think he could do a job out there.
That should be a popular opinion! <laugh>

Was pleased to see Gylfi Sigurdsson get an assist and goal as he seems to have struggled so far in the league. I was excited about him pre season but am now wondering if can force his way into the team as a 1st starter, or if he will be a super sub, or a man for these cup games.

Well done to the team and AVB - seems like Townsend on the right did work in the end so fair play to him on that

i've never rated BAE and would love to have JV there instead of him, but then again like him at CB too

    what a player

so pleased Dawson stayed - I wonder if both Levy and AVB wanted him out - it was a wrong call anyway,, whoever made it
i think it's really terrible the way Lloris has been treated, the idea that a good but inferior keeper like Brad is seen as No 1 over the French captain is one I can't fathom or indeed accept

We're at Norwich in the next round.

MMm, not sure how to react to that one, so I won't. I hope you're not suggesting that JJ wants to be injured though.

GH10, I understand you rate Lloris higher then friedal and I agree that ideally Lloris would be our number 1, yet look it at this way, once Lloris forces his way into the side and proves he is capable then he will be starting every game.

I don't like the way we keep hearing media comments about brad being number 1 and he won't be moved, or Lloris has to be reminded via the media that he won't be picked (even if brad has a bad game)...is there really any need! but we have to respect brad has been a fantastic keeper for us, and is still one of the best in the league at shot stopping and makes very few errors.

The parts of the game which he suffers in, are areas that Lloris excels in, which is why I know its frustrating to see Lloris not get a chance in the league, yet i'm certain it won't be long before Lloris gets his chance and takes it.

No not at all. I was getting at how unlucky he has been with injuries. The image of him being booked for being injured in the Champs league springs to mind.

I may not think he is first team material now, but given the joy he has brought (against the goons in particular) I think he defo deserves to be involved in squad rotation/Europe/league cup etc.

Fair comments Boss, as you say the media are stirring this up - and for sure I'm agitated about it

It's really pissing me off to hear Lloris being described as No 2, second rate/choice whatever - he must be absolutely fuming - or maybe he isn't, I don't know

I've no doubt that he's better than Brad and I think we'd have more points now had he started the season instead of him, may be wrong, just my view

Bet you any money you like that Chelsea's luck will continue. It's a difficult one to predict as is Leeds V Saints.
