Sounds like Townsend's on the right, Falque on the left. Not sure about Sigurdsson or Mason.
I don't think that Townsend looks anywhere near as good on that side, to be honest.

Townsend is well worthy of his starting place, but to play him on the right is silly. Good one AVB <doh>.

If Harry had done this he would have been slaughtered.
 
Redknapp did it in the Europa League last season, OS. Shamrock Rovers away in the first half, IIRC.
No idea why people keep picking him there, as he looks far more impressive on his natural side, to me.
 
whenever i seen Falque he has looked lively...Vert getting a LB run out i suspect he may be playing there against United.
 
West Brom are 1-0 up against Liverpool after a very short period of time. 8pm kick-off, that one.

i suppose if you cant experiment a tad against a team like Carlisle then we never can in order to find our strengths and limitations.

100% agree.

What's annoyed me even more is the fact we've chosen a 39 year old, well past his prime keeper with no future at the club over our brand new, top class keeper who needs game time to adapt to our system... No logic in this selection what so ever for me. Carlo and Gomes should have gone the moment we knew Lloris was coming in. Use Archer (who's now on an emergency loan) as our 3rd choice.

its a squad game nothing wrong with Carlo getting a game..if you doubt his credentials against a team like Carlisle then you havent watched him much.

Our brand new top class keeper might feel more disgruntled at the fact that he is playing infront of a bunch of kids and fringe players bar a few...that wont
make him feel too good..its called man management...something AVB gets slated for for no apparent reason bar what the chelsea fans have said.

i like Carlo and im more than happy to see him playing in such a match.

aah yes im listening to that aswell..our formation will be a bit of all 3 i bet.....433/451/442......AVB will be tinkering as the match goes on..i dont mind that
