No presser for a Tuesday night game, so what do we reckon? I know many want to see Mazuch given a try, but it's unlikely, the back four will remain unchanged. Meyler will come in for the suspended Larsson. I reckon he'll stick with Henriksen (which will get him a load of grief) and Dicko. McGregor Tomori Dawson Hector Aina Bowen Meyler Stewart Grosicki Henriksen Dicko I'd play Irvine ahead of Henriksen, he offers more in away games and I'd go with Campbell, despite Dicko having a good game on Saturday, but I expect it to be the team above.
I'd rip the team apart and start again. Defence is piss poor and we cannot persist with it. McG Meyler Dawson Mazuch Clark Bowen Irvine Stewart Grosicki Campbell Dicko
Hector & Aina clearly have a clause in the loan deal that if fit they play. Is send them both back in January.
A lot of people are saying this. Is there a known precedent anywhere? How could a player's fitness ever be objectively measured to the extent that it could be used in a binding legal agreement?
Might get shot for saying this but regards the defence, i think that Dawson's become part of the problem, i know he's got his work cut out marshalling the defence, might be an idea to pull him out and rest him ,bring in Mazuch puzzled as to why he's not been given a go up to now, injury apart now he's fit the one thing he's got over the loan players is he's a City player , whichever way Slutsky goes with the team over the next two game by 5pm saturday we could be right in the middle of a relegation dog fight.
I don’t think the midfield has particularly helped when it comes to defending. Opposition seem to cut straight through it.
The problem with Dawson is he has been having to do the job of 3. As the rest of the defence is utterly incompetent. With better defenders that don't need babysitting he'll be fine.
Midfield is there to slow or try and stem the flow. It may not have offered much resistance, but it has still offered more than our defence which has offered nothing.
