Would be surprised if Fathi starts - looked off the pace on Saturday and midfield too much of a gamble.
Evans for Bruce with injury to Macca forcing him back into defence. Still expect Simmo from the start with Roko on later.

I will be amazed if Simmo starts, I think it will be Koren playing off Gedo with Evans coming in for Macca. I would like Fahti to start but dont think he will
Can't see why everyone is expecting Koren to come back in. I thought he was crap again when he came on on Saturday. How many times can he have such pathetic attempts at shots as that daft 'lob' before people start to realise he lacks basic footballing skills required for a playmaker.
I think our current strongest XI would be...

But it's a bit weak in the middle and with the pitch being a bit dodgy, I doubt we'll risk trying to completely out-football them, so it will probably be Evans in the middle, with Koren up front ahead of Simpson.

That's what I'd realistically hope for, considering he's unlikely to change from the 3-5-2, I'd much sooner see a switch in formation though. I think we're more likely to see Koren start up top, Faye in for McShane and Bruce in midfield again.
Brutal criticism of Koren there ISTPLT! For me he can have as many cracks at goals as he likes so long as some of them go in, and lets face it a lot of them do. Time to stop playing him up front though and Simpson has had his run now, I'd even give der Proschwitzer a run instead of him.
It's not him shooting I have a problem with it's the basic technique he lacks when doing so lately. He just keeps knocking it generally towards the right end of the ground but nowhere bloody near the goal. If someone like Simpson had done that on Saturday there'd have been outrage but because it's Koren it's ignored. It was exactly the same as the one against leeds where he tried to lob Kenny and put it miles wide of the goal. He was perfectly entitled to shoot and if he'd just misjudged the lob and it had gone over then fair enough but to put it so far wide of the goal was just pathetic (both times).
I think Fathi will be in instead of Evans, as surely Evans would have come on for Macca on Saturday? But then I suppose it's all down to fitness
Simpson never would have got the chance to put it wide for 2 very good reasons
1. He would never have been in position to get the ball in space
2. Even if he was he would have missed the ball and kicked thin air like usual
We were winning and controlling, Fathi needs game time to get fit, hes not gonna get fit sitting on a chair watching is he.
I'd like to see Gedo and Pro up front with Koren heading midfield. Something like:

Bruce said Fathi struggled a bit when he came on so I expect Evans to start. Koren will play alongside Gedo.

Easy choice for an average Blackburn Rovers who without Jordan Rhodes would be near the bottom. Shame for McShane again out injured.
