Another pointless signing, apparently Carroll tomorrow. I read somewhere I think Them Mirror, where it said Clement makes his second signing, how wrong could it be, it is the same old ****, Jenkins is clearly guiding our transfer decisions and not Clement.

We have a car with a broken gear box so what do we do, Well Jenkins has put 3 new tyres on it hoping the gearbox will improve.

We have confirmed that we are pathetic in the Transfer market, how can our board and manager not see that what we are signing is not an improvement. I am not saying Tom Carroll or Olsson are bad players, just don't improve our starting 11, so to me it has to be 8 or 9m down the toilet.

Narsingh was identified pre Clement
Carroll has been on loan here and has been linked with us frequently
Olsson almost signed 2 years ago, apparently

So what about all these contacts that Clement has built up over the years - or don't those players want to play for him?

That is what I am saying mate, I finally thought we would have a manger who would stand up to the ****ers up stairs and ask to bring in his own players, what we have signed is clearly still HJ and he has got such a good record hasn't he.

Unless they know Taylor is off to Palace TLF, then its like for like I suppose and we'll prob get for Taylor what we paid for for Olsson.

Thought Carroll was to be signing today? so what's holding things up? It all went quiet after his medical, maybe they found something.

Or he he could simply have saw some graffiti "Ashley Williams was 'ere" looked around and thought, "nah! **** this, I'm off"

That's why I said Giggs was the man for us. Players WOULD want to play for him knowing the footballing world would be watching to see how he does especially Utd.
He would also not allow Jenkins to dictate transfers and other footballing matters. These transfers look to me that Clement is another puppet.
This for me, confirms that Giggs turned us down/walked away citing a lack of ambition from the club. And you know what? He was dead right as we've seen with what's happened the past 6 months.

Clement has seen Narsingh play and score against Bayern, Olements also was involved with coaching Olsson for a short while so he has some knowledge of them. Bamford, a player who doesn't impress me, is joining Boro for about £5 million which is about what we're paying in transfer fees. They are the sort of team we are competing against in the transfer market. not the Man Cities, Man U's and Chelsea's etc which I sometimes get the impression that some of you think we should.

To be honest Valley, at the time, I was unsure about Giggs - half of me said yep (for the reasons you outline) and the other half said nope (for all the baggage associated with him).

Given the events of Bob's reign and the 'type' of signings that we seem to be making (Huw's paw prints are everywhere), I'm coming around to your position!

Personally, I was expecting some decent loan signings - it would be reckless to pay top dollar in buying players in case we do go down - the financial consequences could be dire.

Not one person on her has said that we should be competing with Man Utd, Chelsea and just because other sides are making poor signings that makes it alright for us to do it. We don't need to strengthen the squad but our starting 11 and we simply haven't.
