We need a CB, maybe 2 but in reality we're not going to get any imo

To turn things around, we need more than just a good CB, a good one alone wouldn't be enough. Even if we got two we wont get the immediate impact we need to sort ourselves out at the back. Vincent Kompany on his best day would have trouble leading us out of the defensive hell we find ourselves in. But VK wont be coming, no worldie, no great CB, no good central defender, no one will be coming because who in their right mind would. So we're stuck with what we've got.

PC will have to either work miracles or if he can't then shoot a few lame horses to improve our tragic defence imo.

Our best defence would be testing the opponents defence more often and relieving pressure on our own . Defence needs an attacking plan

You can have all of the stats you want but Gylfi is still on another level or 3 compared to Fer <laugh>

As you point out, Fer cost us £4.5 million whereas Gylfi is worth £25- £30 million to us.

Now go and work it out.
I like the way some swear by stats until it doesn't suit them . If everyone is happy with 2 goals from open play in 1800 minutes , who am I to argue . To mee Siggy is a good player , but not worth what's offered so.....

Nothing we can do about that Roof except give them games and hope they fit in asap.

Carroll is the one who hasn't played much I believe so he's going to need more time than the others. He looks like he's not short of a few tricks so again, here's hoping

Haven't seen an attacking plan from us all season, get it in box, would be good start. Hopefully Narsingh, Carroll and Olsson will show a more aggression going forward. We may have been poor at the back but up top we've been and tame.
Olsson yes mate, Carroll will go sideways and backwards, but not forward.

I tend to agree on the CB problem not sure we will sign one. However, we desperately need one and we have to try and find a leader from somewhere, I don't know where, because without both we are on our way to the championship. I believe some of our players are better, but they need that leader on the pitch and at the moment we don't have anyone.

So that's Siggy, Naughton and now Carroll all from Spurs

...and only one of them is good enough to help you towards survival. I really hope you survive as it would free up a spot for one of Leicester/Palace/West Ham to potentially fill, but if you're in a scrap, battling for every point, Tommy is the wrong type of player. I haven't seen much of you this year but from the little I have, first and foremost the team is crying out for a solid CB and a hardened marshall in the middle of the park to organise what is frankly a mess of a midfield. Tom is neither of those. Not good enough with the ball to help you pass through the opposition, not strong enough off the ball to help you win it back.

You are spot on and not many on here see it as a good signing, to flimsy for what we need.

That's not what we've been debating though.

West Brom are supposedly chasing Jake Livermore, another one of our graduates. If he's available and Hull became stupid enough to weaken themselves and strengthen their closest rival at the same time (which I believe they are), I'd go all out for him. Combative, high-energy player who crunches into every tackle and has a powerful shot on him. He was the brawn to Carroll's brains in the academy...and I think you may have opted to improve the wrong area.

Hope it works out though. Would be a travesty if you drop and the likes of West Ham linger like a stale fart.

Everyone can see this except for Huw Jenkins. How this bellend is still in his job I'll never know.
