FSG have done a decent job. Not amazing but not a disaster.
They have invested in the club - yes, the net spend is smaller compared to rivals but our wage bill has almost doubled since when they took over, rebuilt the stadium and invested in the training complex. They have also delivered Klopp.
Unfortunately, I think this model is only good to win one or two trophies. If you look at similar clubs (in terms of not spending much) ie Dortmund and Atletico (and also Monaco after they stopped spending mega bucks and started investing in youth), they won their respective leagues and are competitive in CL. I think that’s the very best we can we hope for with our current owners.
If we want sustained success, I think we need owners who will go above and beyond to secure the best players.
