Why are you guys so unwelcoming? Just read the posts between this and my previous are any of you really happy to see such petty childish bickering among your own, or is it ok cos you are all Charlton?

Could everybody calm down please, the failed takeover was a disappointment to all but that is no reason to be less civil to each other even to Glory

Perfectly clear what I said in that thread and this one... I don't see why I should drop what I want to say just because you "don't understand it", or just because it don't fit with your agenda.
Highlighted here again... This a Takeover thread, yet some couldn't resist having another pop at the manager.
The two are linked mate. Without a takeover there is no money for new players in January. It is as plain as the nose on your face that the manager cannot get anymore out of the existing lot. Have a look at his body language at the PC today. He knows that his last chance has just disappeared back to Philadelphia, along with Harris' £18m. He hasn't been offered a new contract, and knows he won't be. He is what we call in my profession a "lame duck".
It is highly laughable that you cannot see what the manager has to do with a takeover. Perhaps that's why I can't comprehend what you are going on about?

Because I like to contrast and compare the thoughts of fans from other teams. I go on quite a few forums. This is the only one where there is genuine hostility between the fans of the same club, and it's the only one where I am as welcome as a fart in an astronaut suit. There is some weird **** going on here and I am genuinely curious how it will evolve.
The situation here is really so confusing that all we can do is guess what's going on. Our owners make Howard Hughes look like a great communicator. We're jumping to different conclusions, instead of remembering the wise words of our Dear Leader "WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER"
They cannot be as bad as bates. One thing I do agree with some of you about is the supporters trust. LUST was formed and gained 9000 members as a sort of petition to get rid of bates, but the chairman is now loving the limelight and time and again has harmed the club by breaching confidentiality, now what should have been a unifying body is the most divisive thing connected to LUFC.
GH. It's a big issue for us so the debate may become a bit feisty. However I don 't see us as divided as you claim we are. For that mattee, I don't have a provlem with you coming onhere to post if you want to contribute. TC is on here at all hours and no one complains. However you sometimes seem set on provoking people (your enless canonisation of Ackers for example) and in that case , feel free to do one.

Without starting again about Akers he seemed to be driven out by the same few as seem intent on driving those with differing views away from here. I don't get a sense that many of you would enjoy sharing a pint with each other. But the written medium does tend to over play differences.
