When you buy a car, that makes you a buyer or a purchaser of a car and not an investor in Fords.Everything done up to this point is strictly to enhance the new owners , including the attempt to get enough a % to deem the supporters trust useless , behind the backs of the trust .An Investment is
Either
An amount of money or capital 'put in', in order to gain profitable returns on said amount or Capital in the form of interest or income. First person investment
Or
An entity or a thing where an amount of money or capital is put in, in order for said entity or thing to grow or appreciate in value. Second person Investment
What we have now with the consortium is FIRST PERSON INVESTMENT, which relates entirely to their money, used entirely to buy the 'mining rites' of our club. It is the consortiums' investment, put in to purchase their rite to extract the profits of the club in the form of interest or income.
What we have had up until now has been SECOND PERSON INVESTMENT, where money and capital was put-in in order to grow profits and grow the value of the club.
The word Investment is the same but it has two distinct an opposite meanings. One meaning gives, allowing profits to grow, second person investment, while the other takes by extracting profits through interest and or income, first person investment.
So far there has been NO second person investment INTO the CLUB to be used to grow or appreciate the value of the club. There has ONLY been first party investment which gives the consortium the rite to extract from the wealth of the club by paying them interest or an income.

I'm not sure what happens from here but what was attempted toward the supporters trust by both old and new owners has me more than worried that our safety line is about to be cut
I would like to know what bearing 60 % ownership, plus a guarenteed % of voting rights from the rest of the 40 % , has on the Supporters Trust ability to have any bearing in the future .
American investment group completes takeover of Swansea City
“Huw Jenkins [will] remain in an executive role and charged with the day-to-day running of the club. Huw will also maintain an ownership stake in the club.
It is understood that the deal values the Welsh club – who have spent the past five seasons in the Premier League – at around £110 million.
It could also mean expansion of the 21,000-capacity Liberty Stadium, the second smallest in the Premier League, as well as investment in the club’s training facilities and playing staff.

Not sure about the who sold what , and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to find out .Anybody know what split of shares had been sold, and what the likes of Morgan, Jenkins etc have held onto?
Apparently a Chinese consortium made a better offer to buy the club (notice I said BUY not INVEST) so can't understand why that wasn't taken up especially as Far East buyers seem to have a better record of INVESTMENT than the Yanks.

Anybody know what split of shares had been sold, and what the likes of Morgan, Jenkins etc have held onto?

The old owners make a fortune , the trust not only make nothing but the importance they had when they came to bat for the team when they were severely needed ..... is kicked to the curb like common garbage
Everyone thought we were special , now we are just them ....I'll always support the team , I'll just always be a bit sad knowing the old owners stopped caring about anything but themselves ..... The sneaky fukers ....especially Morgan the prick ....
They didn't start out as pricks , they just turned into them IMOI think it's unfair to say that, these ****ing pricks as you put it saved our club, some of them put their houses and businesses on the line to invest money into the club. They have a right to get out when they want. We should actually be ****ing thankful to them.
The trust will sell its shares and these people will take full ownership imo, the only thing I can say who will get that money? I think it should all go to local grass roots football.
And we are a special club, owners come and owners go, the club remains, the supporters remain, that is special
How do feel about the supporters trust knowing nothing as the talks were going on Sbulby?I find it very surprising the level of hostility being shown toward the takeover of the club, it is far too early to pass judgement yet, the ink has nearly dried on the paper. These negotiations have been on going for the best part of a year and I'm sure that in spite of the massive profits some of the clubs board members have made, they will still have had the best interest of the club at heart. The new owners are powerless too do anything yet until the deal is ratified by the F.A. and even then they are bound to give little away in the early stages. The best way to judge them is on results so we should at the very least allow them that time. Actions prove louder than words.

You mean the 2nd biggest owner of shares ( the Trust ) , who could never make money but came to the aid of the club at a bad time is left in the dark while the other owners make a bundle without informing the trust of anything is all good with you ?To be honest it's nothing really to do with the trust negotiating wise, obviously they need to know how things are going to stand now in terms of how the business is going to be run. But this selling of shares is a private matter basically

Did Dai write that!!American investors hope to build on 'outstanding work' of Huw Jenkins at the Welsh club..........................![]()
