Whats with the negative vibes man....We were told by the club that we had to find investors to keep competing there was no other choice.....Be thankful the club managed to find investors....You or me will never know what they have invested but its obvious its a large sum or there would be no deal........There is no reason not to trust the club to have done the right thing.

If they invest then please feel free to call them investors, I am betting the only money that will be spent is from tv rights, I am betting that not 1 penny will come out of their pockets, They are here to make money and don't give 2 ****s for our club or our future, they are here to make money at Swansea's expense

Why do you keep saying investors when the clear haven't yet, proper owner's/investors actually put money into a club not take it out. when they get their own cheque books out then please feel free to call them investors and remind me,

I'm afraid you're wrong regarding what if any money will be invested into the Club as all monies are accountable and have to satisfy the relevant authorities such as Financial fair Play and the FA and the HMRC etc.

No i tell you what Dai thinks.......Dai thinks the club has achieved what they set out to do and find investors for the club thats what Dai thinks What happens from here will be up to our new owners and you or me or any other bugger dont know what they have planned, So you and me and every other bugger will just have to wait as from today they are the new owners and nobody can do anything about it as they will do what they want and until they say what their plan of action is then who are we to say they are rubbish or not......So lets give them the chance before slagging them off....As for the trust then its a wast of time .. i know i was one of the founder members and it has no power whatsoever. It has served its purpose and has no relevant purpose now......They have not been included in 7 months of negotiations anyway and rightly so as they dont have a vote the ability to change anything anyway.

They are not investors as they haven't invested into the club, they have bought shares nothing more! Now providing they are fit and proper to own the club the premier league will okay it.

Until they actually come and put money into the club that is beyond buying shares they are not investors. £30m-£50m is not a huge sum of money when it's going to cost more than that to buy the stadium and expand it. There will be very little of fresh investment into playing staff, or the expansion will not happen. If they are truly here to invest then they should do it properly.

We have been sold short imo, and that can have huge implications as I can't see these 8 mysterious figures behind it don't have the money to run a premier league club, I won't be surprised if this is like the slow road crash of Villa, I have no confidence in this at all.

If it was just a take over then the club would have said so and not spend all this time saying the club is desperate for investors to carry on....Get use to it the deal is done and im chuffed to bits it has finally happened we have new investors. now take the trusts shares away and either sell them to another investor or share them out between the directors The trust is no longer relevant and have no power...The shares will be better off in some investors hands who will have the power to vote....

As it stands no money has been invested into the club, what the future will bring only time will tell, I am concerned that some want away board members have lined their own pockets without regard for the club, there has been absolutely nothing from the Yanks, not a pip squeak, and I share the concerns of most sensible Jacks. The £50 Million proposed investment will not go far, and it will probably go into the squad, Huw Jenkins mentioned some time back that the club needed investment to expand the Liberty stadium, so here we are with his so-called investment boys, will the stadium be expanded? I doubt it, we are going into our 6th season, and the club are quite happy to plod along with one of the smallest stadiums in the Premier league.

The only thing that I have researched is who are behind the Yankee front men, and there are some serious money people, most of it is Indonesian money. If you are going to look at this in a positive way, then we are very much a well run club, that is grossly under developed, and that could be where this Yankee led consortium will want to develop and make their profit, but if they think they can cut corners better than Huw Jenkins for saving for share holders, well they can dream on. Cutting or playing around with the squad will only see us drop out of the Premier league, so that is a none starter, it's going to be interesting to see how this goes, but I must admit I have my reservations.............

When they put money into the club and not the shareholders then they are investors, and even then it seems they are not putting a lot in compared to what level the club is at.

And Dai you are the one wanting to spend circa £50m on players every season, to buy a top class plays cost money, if for example they forego expansion and buy the stadium, that will leave about £20m for players, that will buy us one good player, or a few players we take a punt on.

They maybe an "investment group" but they have still only purchased a controlling interest in a football club. They have yet to say what or how much they are going to invest. So as of right now no they haven't invested in the club. Usually when someone comes into a club as an investor the first thing that is reported is the amounts that are going to be spent on the club/players (if only to get the fans onside) . We have seen little evidence of this as yet.
When Abramovich purchased Chelsea he stated exactly what he planned on spending on players.
FSG clearly laid out plans for Liverpool on how they were going to build sustainability in the club including a stadium expansion again no ifs and coulds
Even when Khun Vichai took over Leicester he said what he was going to do not what he might or could
Then look at the examples of "investors" like the Glazers. No plan no promises no transparency
So Dai can you see why some fans are a little reticent at the moment?

I for one was initially glad that we found someone to "invest" but the longer this has gone on and the lack transparency on what is going to be spent is a little concerning.

Apparently a Chinese consortium made a better offer to buy the club (notice I said BUY not INVEST) so can't understand why that wasn't taken up especially as Far East buyers seem to have a better record of INVESTMENT than the Yanks.

The word Investment has two distinctly opposite meanings. One meaning to give, allowing profits to grow, while the other means to take through extraction of profits through interest and or income.

An Investment is

Either
An amount of money or capital 'put in' to a business, in order to TAKE profitable returns on said amount of money or Capital in the form of interest or income. First person investment

Or
An entity or business where an amount of money or capital is put in or given, in order for said entity or thing to grow or appreciate in value. Second person Investment

What we have had up until now has been SECOND PERSON INVESTMENT, where money and capital was put-in to the business in order for it to grow and flourish through increase in profits and its value as a business.

What we have now with the consortium is FIRST PERSON INVESTMENT, which relates entirely to consortiums point of view. It is an investment for THEM. By putting money (an investment) in to a pot in order to purchase us affords them the 'mining rites' to our clubs profits and wealth. It is the consortiums' investment, put in to purchase their rite to extract the profits of the club through interest payments or income.

So far there has been NO second person investment INTO the CLUB to be used to grow or appreciate the value of the club. There has ONLY been first party investment which gives the consortium the rite to extract from the wealth of our club.
