Well just to throw a spanner in the works, I don't rate Routledge or Lita, two signings that Rodgers brought to the Liberty that I'm not fussed on, and they both will have to lift their game to win me over, mediocrity at it's best, neither have any passion for the game in my view, as for SWP, I like the guy and rate him, though I'm not sure which position QPR will play him in, if we are comparing Wingers, then Swansea will win that contest hands down, but Routledge will never play on our wings as long as Dyer and Sinclair remain fit, and on the formation of late Routledge has been replacing Dobbie, sitting just behind our striker, so not sure what we are comparing here? Wingers, Transfers, or has beens!!!...............

True point Smudger but for NUFC. Last year he fitted well for us at a time when we were flying high and he just added to the buzz. Hope he does well for the Swans. We are all waiting to see what QPR are to be honest and no ones knows but if NW does the same job on the team as last year then I believe we will do very well

Did the exact same thing for us in the Championship, just couldnt step up. Though I'm not sure if SWP's time at Man City has left him the same player he was IMO, it's where footballing careers go to die.

How many times has Routledge played for England... or a seriously competitive club?

No contest.

When was the last time SWP played a competitive game!!

editted: Never mind i found out not as long ago as i thought.....still going for Routledge though :)

Turning out to be a good thread this... interesting points made, especially with Smudger chipping in from a Toon angle.

We can't give it the big'un over Swans signing Routeledge. We were right pissed off when he dissed us. That's why we're on a downer about him (including me). Truth is, he ain't bad - has his moments. Disappears at times though. Next to Taarabt, vital going forward back half of last season. Some good stuff and a few goals too.

Real problem with him we felt was he's a bit of a mercenary. He ain't Toon, R or Swan. He's £. He'll do you a job but the badge only means so much. Bit cold.

We all know what SWP's got... but will he become a Ranger? Could well happen imo.

Rather take SWP than Routeledge tbh, but then again, who wouldn't if given the choice?

Surely this was Lil Wayne's best Hooped moment? - and what a beautiful speedy counter-attacking flowing one-touch team move too. The moment that (GP & FA notwithstanding) I knew we were going up.

Cheers for the vids hoopsy, Warnock has said it was his loan that got us over the line, he was fantastic.

Rout done well for us which should be remembered but at Prem level he just cant seem to cut it.

SWP is a top Prem performer. Perhaps a better comparison would be SWP v Scott Sinclair.... Now he does look a class act.

....Still take SWP tho ;)

Routledge did a great job for us but has so far failed in the Premier League, SWP has done it on the bigger stage but time will tell if he turns it on with us, just hope the reported 6.5m transfer tag proves to be money well spent.

Would like to see Routledge have a good season but you can’t compare a player who has been capped 30 something times for England played for City and Chelsea and someone who has never scored a premier league goal. End of :emoticon-0110-tongu

SWP for sure. more prem experience always pays off. take adel for example, (up to date) i think he stands out in championship football, slightly different in the prem, especially when youv been there longer like SWP. although i still think routledge is a good player.
