I think everyone would expect SWP to do better this season, after all he has played for much bigger clubs, had 36 England caps, and is probably on double the wages that Routledge is on. I doubt he will be that much better than Routledge and I think for the money, we may have the better deal
This reflected my initial thinking also. However, the difference between an extra couple of points by having SWP versus Routledge could represent the difference between survival and relegation. If this proves to be the case, SWP would definitely prove better value.
No contest SWP is quality, Routledge is not bad.
Routledge is one of those players caught between the two divisions. Too good for the Championship, but not good enough for the Premier league.
