Karate was/is the definition of me.
Shotokan is a Japanese martial art based on inner and outer peace, as well as the principles of humility, compassion, respect, and patience.

What kind of karate did you do where they speak in latin?
Martial arts for old farts.
I had the most wonderful experience Today having my face smashed in with compassion....
I'm smitten.
You mean Kendo? There's a martial arts for the Katana which is explicitly based around never using a Katana as an actual weapon.
Forgot it's name.
But it's beyond tedious.
You mean Kendo?
No, Kendo is the one you use for dueling.
I'll look it up later, but it's specifically around honoring a ceremony involving a Katana, not using it as a weapon
Kendo you learn to actually use a weapon.
Ah right, so a bit like a kendo version of of kata in karate. It should be PART of the training, but of you ONLY do that then you never know what it's like to actually face an opponent. Like those people who swing nunchucks around to look good and think they are Bruce Lee, having never sparred with anyone.@Obi Wan
Iaido.
I was watching a video about it, the guy learning is Japanese and said when he signed up he felt it was going to be a martial art involving fighting.
But it's more like a ceremony and not practically useful.

Do any of you pussys even train or are you all just that guy talking about a fight you had at school in people's kitchens at 4am.
Depends. If you lace it with viagra, then probably very hard...
90mins in the salle tonight - 20min lesson with my coach plus about 8 fights
Good dedication.![]()
Of course. Hard training and a good spar, followed by a couple of beers to discuss what did and didn't work and how to improve things. Perfect training session. And a couple of beers afterwards lol
