well, i am going to enjoy every game i can simply because that is what it is all about, will it just keep getting better or will it go 'the other way' and i want to believe this is just the start, a very early start showing us we can and need to keep improving and not the calm afore the storm.

there will be plenty of times to be less happy as we will lose games, others will win and league positions will change as was shown last season, think if we lost the last two we would have been 12th so quite a drastic difference but honestly, those people we keep hearing about (you know, those ones who will not return to the board until the next window/loss) that complain after a 5-0 win that it wont last, KLD has no money, no investment being made, they will sell any player that an offer comes in for, SD still pulling the strings and all the rest can be as unhappy as they like for me, i am just enjoying the moment.

Tonight I’ll be seeing one of the most dour miserable bastard Sunderland supporters you’ve ever met, his narrative is that our owner is only here to buy young develope and sell for profit and the club aren’t interested in building a team, also because we scraped the playoffs last year that means we should go up automatically this season, I’ve not seen him since the Southampton game so can’t wait to see what he thought I’m sure he’ll find a lot of negatives to moan about.wish me luck folks

I've met a few like that. And seen them at the game.

It really isn't good for them going. They seem very unhappy whatever the outcome and it's probably affecting their health.

Even at the moment, when there is a good young side to watch with no slackers or arseholes, I can see at the match one bloke in particular who moans all the time, starting within the first minute.

Weird man. They should go to the garden centre or church!

He's clearly invested with the backroom changes and stadium improvements which are obviously important ...

... but were signing players like Rusyn who won't come cheap.

If we reach the PL, this season, we'd be in great shape imo.

The fact that the bookies have Ipswich as 4th favourites to go up, with us just outside the top six, gives me hope that we can at least match what we achieved last season. Ipswich were chasing their tails for most of the game against us and all we lacked was a striker. We have that now and great strength in depth in all areas barring CM.

Would Ipswich cope with the level of injuries to key players that we had last season? I suspect not.

My old fella is a bit like this. Very pessimistic before every match and only cheers up if we win. I reckon it's through years of false dawns and misery (he's 90), he is always expecting a kick in the bollox from SAFC.

If he's ninety mind, he's earned the right to to say whatever he likes!

Good luck to him. Here's to another ten at least!

I know you’re trying to undermine KLD and Speakman with this as it’s your modus operandi on here now but there’s nothing wrong at all either with Rusyn being a Liverpool fan or the way his contract was signed and registered.
**** me Bob, who's pissed on your porridge this morning?
I was just pissing about, look to anyone who is bothered, I like KLD and I get on great with the man of mystery Juan.
They both dish out micky taking and take it back.
I hope they turn us into a monster again.

:emoticon-0102-bigsm You are in a mood this morning! It's perfectly straightforward for someone to give their proxy to someone else to sign on their behalf. Do you really think we would enter into a contract deemed to be invalid? Under Maggie Byrne maybe, but not under these fellas!
It's said lol in the 1st post mate

I do not think KLD and Speakman can be criticised I any way or form , they have built a robust management structure both on and off the pitch that will stand us in good stead for many years to come . Yes we have lost some popular players this transfer window but we have continued to replace them pro rata with talented hungry young players as we have done in previous windows with great success . I always look back at the not to distant past at the standard of players and squad comparing them with the present group of young players in our team - sorry but I think we are light years ahead with progress still ongoing .
I agree with most of what you say. Have we progressed ? Aye? Are we light years ahead? Aye? Can Speakman be criticised ? Of course. He’s very obviously made errors. The possible new manager talks leaking, just because we got positive options up front doesn’t mean we were too limited at other points. I’d imagine they criticise themselves. It’s how you grow. I’m mostly positive with occasional gripes but I’d be gutted if they left but I’ll say it as I see it,
