Buckley ended up at Sheff Wed in the end.

Don't know if we were ever serious about him like.

@Prehab26 question about Gooch of ya can't answer that's fair enough.

I'm trying to think about this cause I want to say he was probably going to see his minutes get less and less as we improve the squad. But I think that's unfair to him because of his versatility, experience and commitment he would always get time. I'm trying to ask was the lad happy with his role, did he not have his eyes elsewhere to be more likely to be a starter?

He's been with us since he was 10 and summer schools from USA. Signed with us from 17 etc and has played a bit part in the **** show that we have seen for the past 8 or so years. He's a total committed lad and he can hold his head up high with the fans as he put his body on the line and scored some important goals

I like the majority with Gooch offer all the best as it is very rare that you get a player that stays at 1 club for so long, especially one that is not native to us.

Thanks mate. Appreciate that. Been a slog but glad CF gave me the nod too
Aye I seen that, deserved too mate, I know not many get along with him but at the end of the day he’s like us and wants the best for SAFC, the snippets you give us a greatly appreciated

Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman said: "Ross has made a significant contribution in his time with us and I know many of our supporters will be sad to see him depart for this new challenge. Despite a lot of outside noise suggesting otherwise, Ross has always conducted himself professionally on and off the pitch and I know that he would have wanted to contribute more in the last 12 months. Although it was not our preferred choice, Ross indicated that he saw his future away from Wearside and from that moment onwards, we have worked to ensure we protect the Club in the best possible way. We thank him for his contribution and wish him well.”
