andrew is really short to be fair
I'm not sure if you haven't seen much of him or we just have wildly different opinions, but he's so much more than a CDM.
He has the ability to carry the ball, to find a pass, he's got a great shot on him too. I think he can be our (slightly) lower standard version of Vieira, Yaya Toure or Declan Rice. Sure, he could be a CDM, but that restricts half of his game. Carrying the ball forward from those defensive positions, he could terrify opponents.
Shame that Gooch isn't going to get the send off he deserves. Would have been mint if tomorrow was his last game
