Interesting chat over a beer today.
We sign a new center forward, A new inside forward/winger (Rusyn) and a new defensive mid.
Who do you drop and what's the team.
Fair to say we didn't have a clue. No one could agree.
Don't remember a time when we had so many players you wanted to see in the first team

Brighton have developed a system and reputation where they basically do all the big boys jobs for them.
Aye, it’s a bit of a flaw/weakness in the method. I guess we hold these cards over some clubs though:

- Get more playing time here
- Players know how keen we are on them (not an afterthought/ last minute thing)
- fanbase and potential

(I realise you were talking about Brighton but it applies to us to a degree)

Both of those situations will improve I reckon.

Sadly they both needed updating but worse, weren't sorted quick enough or well enough.

Chris Waters has spoken to a friend of mine and 'rockets have gone off' about both situations.

Shame that things so basic should cause so much upset.

They have to improve, can't harp on about being sustainable then miss out on valuable income.

Everything has to work hand in hand

Weird one Rusyn because if Stewart stays he’s our 9 with Clarke and Roberts wide but we’ve spent a decent chunk of money on him.

All fully fit I’d have Stewart with Clarke and Roberts wide, Dack as the shadow striker. Take a risk with Bellingham CDM because I don’t think Ekwah is the answer there and Neil B2B. Cirkin LB, Alese LCB Ballard RCB and Hume RB with Patto in goal.

Bellingham as the CDM because I don’t think we’ll sign one and Alese only because I think we need to move on from Bathh, won’t sign a decent CB and don’t know how good Seelt is yet.

Ba as back up for Clarke, Rusyn for Stewart, Bennette for Roberts.

Rigg for Dack, Ekwah for Neil and Evans for Bellingham.

Huggins covers both sides, Alese can cover LB, Seelt, O’nien and Triantis as options in the middle.

Similar models for us and Brighton to be honest, we are just fishing in different pools at the moment.

We are buying players we will probably end up selling for 20 to 30m, and we've all seen the profits Brighton have made recently!

Must resist commenting on how we are nothing like Brighton........

What a change in outlooks since the signing was announced. You can almost feel the change in atmosphere - the relief.
It’s a bit like that daft craze that was in U.S. a few years back where audiences would stare at an immobile image on a cinema screen for ages, just for the feeling of relief when the image finally winked.
