Mowbray told the written press this afternoon that the player who was due to sign WAS a loan deal but his parent club have put a hold on it. Which is exactly what I thought.

Could be either Stansfield on hold due to Mitrovic leaving, or Cannon on hold due to Calvert-Lewin injury - but Mowbray also says its an issue with the players contract which is the problem. So could be anything.

I think Roberts and Clarke will pick him out for fun, and Dack will benefit massively from the space he creates by stretching defences. I might be wrong, but I reserve the right to be bloody excited to see him play in this attacking team of ours.

Mentiomed it a few weeks a go but reminds me of broadhead. Movement is really intelligent n he doesnt snatch at chances. He puts them in the corner and will shoot early. Scored a few great goals coming off the left wing, he can play upfront himself, with stewart, replace clarke if needed (if clarke is injured or not playing well) or could play as a no10 (with pritchard likely being away this would be handy).

Very exciting player, him n aravena both impressed me when ive seen them but think rusyn might be better suited to emglish football than aravena

Cheers mate but don't worry, I don't give a toss about those people ...

... the lads who used to ask me for tickets have cut their own throats.

It's just a shame that I don't feel inclined to post things I hear from credible people. As I posted earlier I was told yesterday we have a medical today for a striker. That's now in today's paper so people get to know anyway, no big deal.

Posting is just not worth the flak or, in all honesty, the amount of decent responses you get.

As far as tickets are concerned I'll explain that while I'm on. I've been criticised because I regularly mention tickets on here, to be fair that's only by people who are never likely to need one because they never go.

The reason I mention tickets on here, and did on RTG, is that I sometimes end up with more than I need and am out of pocket. I mention people I've previously helped so strangers feel confident they can trust me to show up at Bristol or wherever they've travelled to.

It's also free advertising <laugh>

Would assume Fulham/Everton are hoping Stansfield/Cannon sign new deals before going out on loan, and they can't agree terms, therefore are reluctant to loan them out.

This weekend will be another tough one as all our games against Coventry seem to be. But IMO we have a very strong squad who if they can get on a run will be hard to slow down. The challenge for me is putting a run of 6 to 10 victories together (which we have not done for a very long time) which would galvanize our brilliant fanbase and make other teams worry about us as we start to gain momentum.
