Mowbray is a blunt talker who wants success, particularly at his age. He sat it out at Blackburn too long, in his view I reckon, and doesn't just want to be Uncle Tony to a bunch of kids.

I've no doubt he has 'full and frank discussions' but is sage enough to reel it in before he pushed people too far ...

... looks like a bit of arm wreslting to me <laugh>
He’s used it well as he’s got Dack in the side now.

Changing the subject a bit, the missus pointed that Dack was constantly organising and talking to the side on Saturday (which I missed)

He was doing in within mins of coming on in the Crewe game - kept shouting at Bennette and telling him where to stand, where to run etc

I’m a bit sick of Mowbray answering questions about transfers, he’s only passing on info that he’s being told by others. I think it would be better if the club released info on incomings/outgoings via another person, and Mowbray could just talk how the squad are getting on and how match day is going. I reckon Mowbray would prefer it that way too!

Reactions: clockstander
If i remember right it was released by a foreign channel and had come from the proposed managers team (No idea if the club were involved in the release but the way we seem to keep gossip locked up makes me doubt that they released the story) which was conveniently timed to cause disruption and get some headlines .
I thought agents talking but that should be kept tight.

I got the Tranmere away bit right haha. I always thought it was DS!
Smith got sacked just after Xmas when we lost to Oxford. Crosby then went on a cracking run in Jan/Feb winning 5 of his 1st 6 games, with Smith having only won 8 all season at that stage.
Then of course we had that cup run and Murray being forced to give Crosby the job on a permanent basis

Just needs to play behind a striker, Feel sorry for Pritch, he spent most of last season without Ross Stewart to play off

Yep,you can see the quality...in both.Dack is a great addition for us.I was hoping Pritch would stay aswell....sadly,not looking likely. They are both really good players.

I said something about that to my dad at the match, Dack was constantly talking and giving instructions, it stood out to me.

Didn't think he had a great overall game but watching the highlights it was a great touch to Jobe for our second. He also setup a shot for Clarke and another for Jobe which were unlucky.

For all i like Pritch’s general play, I do think Dack will give us a better cutting edge further forward. The full backs will miss Pritch the goal scorers will enjoy Dack.

I think there would already be a bit of fan pressure after the first few games if Mowbray hadn’t done such an excellent job of deflecting any responsibility or blame away from himself.
Blame for what exactly?

He'll take a few weeks to get up to full fitness - if he's making a difference now, you'd assume he'll be even better in 6-8 weeks
