Wonder if hemir might be best coming off the bench tomorrow, start jobe n pritchard as a rotational front 2 then when the game is opening up then bring on hemir

Not ideal i know but often young strikers are better coming off the bench once the game opens up

I think that might be an approach for the next home game. In this away game we should get plenty of time on the counter and more time / space for him. Think hes much more likely to have impact away than at home.

They absolutely have, and then some.

I desperately hope the poor lad doesn't read our fans' social media or, if he does, that he's got a very thick skin.

Evans is a pro with National team experience ...

... looked an absolute bag of nerves in his first few games.

And he speaks the language a bit better <laugh>

It’s awful a times isn’t it. Young lad who’s left his comfort zone to join a club in a foreign country, step up in class to what he’s played against, thrust straight into the first team and given no service whatsoever yet is getting slated.

If he’s dropped tomorrow that’s really poor from Mowbray imo. People are pointing the finger at him because he didn’t run enough and because they refuse to slate Roberts and Clarke when they have a ****e game.

This last week for me has been hard to read some of the comments and I have tried to be pragmatic. As I was corrected earlier by Blonde Bombshell yes I do think Mowbray was making a point last week but it has lead to a real meltdown from some fans. A young striker playing his first game for our club has been ostracized by some and doubted by others for not having a great game. IMO our wingers and full backs were poor and supplied very little for him to work with and this was obviously a tactic employed by Mowbray either he thought it was a weakness in the Ipswich team or he was proving a point. 1 defeat and all hope and optimism is gone. 1 defeat and I see on Facebook a post where they are saying that KLD is no better than Donald FFS people should really pull their heads from up their own arses and have a smell of the roses. What happened to Sunderland till I die or HWTL or we'll support you evermore. Rant over

Where is anyone slating the kid… I haven’t seen one single post saying kid is not good enough… he hasn’t been here long enough for anyone to take that stance… all I’ve seen is people stating it’s too early for an unproven kid to lead the attack of team with ambitions to go up… I genuinely don’t see anything wrong on that, in fact totally the opposite, it shows we need to look a kid with obvious talent and not destroy his confidence

FFS, give the lad some games before giving an opinion, if he is poor after say 10 games, then i might question him, but atm no.

Sounds like Mowbray doesn’t want him sold. The money men may not have the same view but I think Mowbray’s right. Get him playing well and happy and get us up the league and we might just keep him. The state of us trying to get a striker says it’s not worth having the money.

you clearly didn't read one word of my post, I'm not having a go at the lad, to be honest, he looked decent in preseason, but he wasn't bought to lead our attack right now, Mowbray has said as much, many times, why is it when someone has an alternate view on this forum its seen as negative... I'll just keep my opinions to myself, i genuinely can't be arsed
