Problem that Burnley and hopefully other interested PL clubs now have is that Bournemouth are supposedly closing in on signing Alex Scott from Bristol City for £25m.
Scott’s decent but no more PL ready than Clarke and that price should be our new answering the phone starting price.

I half expect also a post on the next few days saying “hmm I had hoped we could stop talking about Clarke” before an exclusive news story saying that he’s very upset at not being allowed to move and so the club are considering reducing their asking price… etc

I think Clarke will for 15million with add ons late on and the ‘story’ will look idiotic
