You'll find they do that during pre-season. Once the season is underway, the training will start to taper off before gamesFair enough, your the expert and clearly know your stuff.
Makes you wonder why training was so intense the day before a game

Things happen in sport, there doesn't need to be blame on anyone. Hamstring injuries can happen to anyone, even with a proper warm up and stretching.Grade 3. No.
And, it's the coaches responsibility to ensure that players are ready, especially a new player who is getting photos taking for PR with his first day!!
I find all this mad and if it was me, full scale investigation would be had. Shouldn't happen at all this.

It would have been picked up yes.
My guess is that they have let him train at too far of an intensity given he has been flying about, lazing about waiting for contracts and PR stuff.
Then it's went. Increased attention to detail needed.
Physiology is my expert area. Without being too arrogant. If it is 3 months , then that's a grade 3 rupture. That doesn't happen in light training. Especially the day before the game.
My guess is it won't be a few months. Be a grade 2 and be 6-8 weeks.
I'll ask about to see what the craic is
With all due respect, I dont think it's as cut and dry as that. One of my mates snapped the ligaments in his ankle flicking his foot the wrong way when he was sat at his desk at work. On crutches for a fair few months. Sometimes you can just be unlucky.

I think Mowbray is applying some exception management to the “few months”’comment. A hamstring strain wouldn’t set him out for 2 or 3 months, but will set him back a few weeks + the time he needs naturally anyway. Let’s hope it’s not too bad.
We already needed one more striker before this injury! Would love to find out what witch doctor has cursed our club.
Is your mate an athlete ? Or just a member of the general population? If it's the latter, then yes, general life mobility can cause such injuries. Atheltes are far far less prone to this.
Any idea why I keep doing my Quad every time I play footy? Am I not giving it enough time to recover each time?Is your mate an athlete ? Or just a member of the general population? If it's the latter, then yes, general life mobility can cause such injuries. Atheltes are far far less prone to this.

So, you're to blame!!!Eye of frog
and tail of bat
Snap Mayende’s hamstring
Just like that.
Still getting linked with the Ukrainian ladI think when TM says a few months hes probably not just meaning the injury. The lad has just come in so will need time to adapt to england n learn how we play.
I reckon itll be a 4-6 weeks with the injury n then time to ease him in
Another striker was a must anyway
just about to post the same. All the ones I have had experience with have been lack of a good warm up or an underlying injury. Even with my albeit limited medical knowledge, a poor warm up leads to log of other unrelated injuries.Happens a lot when players don't warm up properly. Like you say just bad luck
