Mayendacommented: “I am very happy to be here because that is what I wanted. It is a historic Club in England and it's a Club that I already knew about so I was very excited to come here. I really wanted to take up the new challenge."

Sporting DirectorKristjaanSpeakman added: “Eliezer is an exciting, quickand direct player, who's equally effective with the ball to feet or running beyond opponents. We are delighted to welcome him to Sunderland AFC and I’m sureour fans will enjoywatching him and following his journey with us. He’ll naturally need some time toadapt and integrate, buthe’s full ofambitionandI know how much he’slooking forward to showing everyone what he's capable of.”

Excellent

Bishop likely to come in as number 2 keeper for some competition for Patterson.

I’d still want an experienced holding CM & a more experienced striker (on loan), also Diallo on loan if not too greedy!

Outgoings will likely be the focus once Bishop signs you’d think - only Anderson & Bass loaned out (not counting those whose contracts expired). Probably Pritchard & Embo the likely ones away - with Stewart, Gooch & O’Nien also possibilities?

Cheers mate. I'll tell him to stop
I actually hope your info is spot on mate, it may seem like he would be to much for us , but a lot may have thought the same about Pritchard who took a massive pay cut, I know AP was trying to resurrect his career and Cairney is in the twilight of his but it could be for all sorts of reasons, who could be doing his coaching badges and wants to go to a club he could possibly progress on the coaching side and where better to do that then Sunderland.
I may also be a million miles away, however I would never be surprised at some of the things this club are capable of. They did bring in Jack Clarke who in less than 2 years if we sold him for his market value would cover the cost we have spent on our entire squad, yet some still don't seem impressed on the model

Welcome Eliezer!

I can see our attacking play and options scaring the **** out of a few teams. Edit - am I getting ahead of myself there?

Bonne continuation crack, though…. Any ideas @Smug in Boots and other French speakers? I’m guessing the first bit means good luck / best wishes for the future.

'All the best, from us all, to our young striker and don't doubt he'll continue to represent us well in the future.'

Crack is like crack shot, just means great or champion.

'Bonne continuation crack' is a message to the player and means 'All the best going forward great lad.'

The squad is getting there, still loads of time in the window for Premier league loans.

Can't wait to see these new lads and how they fit in just need to remember they may take time to settle in
Lots of time but not lots of room in the squad.

Sadly we need to start shedding a few.

a couple will leave but the 9 subs will make a big difference this season.

This is why I don't understand the view that some players must be leaving as we have brought a few in. You need a big squad to get out of this league with multiple cover for each position, this is where the likes of Gooch and O'Nein are so valuable.

I can't bloody wait for the season to start!

Too many players not playing regularly causes issues, as seen at Chelsea. Group was far too big and too many ego’s upset that they aren’t playing.

Im confused is Mayenda coming straight into the first team, or was he bought for the U23s?

Also has Cairney been spotted at the AOL yet <whistle>
