Some might say the striker was leading with his arm

He definitely wasn’t mind he was trying to take the ball on his chest, I don’t even think he was looking at the keeper. His arms probably came across because he’s just been bodied :emoticon-0102-bigsmShocking challenge imo.

Terrible challenge that imo. Watched it few times and struggle to see why a few are playing it down. The striker is watching the ball and coming in side on as he is only showing interest in getting a flick on the ball. Bishop however, is watching the striker and knows he is going to clatter him so leads with his shoulder/forearm straight into the strikers fully exposed ribs.

I'm pretty sure we would be fuming if one of ours got injured in a similar incident.
Its a mistimed challenge but thats it, hes turned his body to protect himself - its just a shame that the player has ended up with a bad injury

Agree with this 100% the red and white specs here are blinding. The fact Bishop is said to be heading here and Parky is involved and had some words to say about Bishop seems to have blinded people.

As I said in my post striker is watching the ball all the way and leaves his side completely exposed. He isn't really watching the keeper. Bishop on the other hand seems to watch the striker most the way and makes no attempt to jump for the balls and clatters into the landing leading with his shoulder into his ribs!

And in complete contrast to what Smug has said I think only a keeper can get away with making that kind of challenge (leading with body weight into someone unprotected side without any real challenge on the ball). Anyone else on the pitch is off and a lot more agree with Parky.

Yeah it's mistimed that's why he is there bit it's terrible even mistimed. He isn't really watching the ball, has no hope of getting it and absolutely clatters into the player with one the hardest parts of his body into the blokes weakest.

I'd say that makes it a terrible challenge.

Chose to work from home today to dodge an after work function and they’ve just dropped the bombshell that Alese and Stewart are the guests, I’ll try and get someone to ask Ross if he’s staying :emoticon-0102-bigsm

:emoticon-0102-bigsm Haven't you just had a power cut at home which means you need to head to the office after all,and therefore will be able to make the function? :emoticon-0105-wink: You can't leave important matters in the hands of others!
