I know a lad whos mates with Bernie Slaven, Moggas old team mate at Boro and Slaven who is still mates with Mogga told him Stewart is fecked now and will never get over that injury.

I’ve no doubt that may be true, the unbelievable bit is that our manager would share that and ours and stokes transfer dealings with some randomers in the USA whilst taking a training session. He probably gave some Nigerian prince his bank details while he was on.

Nah mate scout for a european team, i reccomended cannon to them at the same time. When i sent a report to Sunderland i said he was of league 1 current ability but had the potential for bottom half of PL type team. He surprised me by doing as well as he did for preston tbh as thought that was a season or 2 too soon

Are a clubs scouts normally shrouded in mystery? Serious question, not having a pop. I just googled Sunderland's scouts and there are only 3 named on TransferMarkt (Stuart Harvey, Ged McNamee and Simon Cooper) ...I assume we have many more than that. My best mate's Dad at primary school was a scout for the mags, and he'd tell anyone who wanted to listen. 80s though, football has obviously changed a lot since then. Genuinely interested.
