Tremendous. Boxing is such a brilliant crossover sport for training. If they have been through some genuine boxing training sessions then they will know what fitness training really feels like. Cracking sport for confidence and discipline as well. Love it.

Boxing and Brazilian Jui Jitsu. Going to get my little un to do both.

Years ago thinking I was fit, I went into the gym with my mate who was a boxer. He had me doing sets of two minutes on the heavy bag with one minute of sit ups in between. I couldn’t lift my arms up after a couple of sets, he was still going strong at the end of our dinner break :emoticon-0146-punch

My lad is an amateur boxer. He is in the gym 3 or 4 times a week training and fights on some decent amateur cards. I sometimes help the coaches in the gym and do pads with the younger boxers. Even that knackers me out these days. The sessions they do are brutal, way beyond anything we do with footballers. I took my under 18s into the boxing gym for a pre season session last year and a couple of coaches put them through it. They crawled out of that gym after 90 minutes <laugh>

Can't see us going for him, he is 28 and not really done anything in his career. Plus we have plenty of options in his position.
Yeah, it would seem an odd one for us. QPR and a reunion with Ainsworth seems more sensible to me.
