My son, who you've met, went to see him in Nottingham ...
... and was so impressed him and his lass drove to Paris, the following week, to see him again![]()

As well as talking about Jack Clarke's future, Tony Mowbray discussed the rumours surrounding Danny Batth after the defender missed both friendlies yesterday.
BATTH MINOR KNOCK
"It's just a knock, he's coming with us to the US."
TRANSFER SPECULATION
"We have to wait and see - it seems strange, doesn't it, to be talking about your player of the year last year leaving. But we have signed two young centre halves [Jenson Seelt and Nectarios Triantis], you hope that Dan Ballard stays fit and that Dennis Cirkin and Aji Alese aren't too far away. You reach a certain age in football and you want to play, I get on really with Danny and I've been there myself as a player.
UP TO BATTH
"Let's see what the next six weeks brings on that front. He was amazing last year, I have to say that. If he stays: great. If he goes it's because he wants to play. He'll get a feel of it [and we'll go from there]."
JACK CLARKE
"First of all I thought today he played extraordinarily well. He hit the bar two or three times, he scored two goals. The talent is obviously there. When you look on a football pitch that has a lot of young players on it, it's the Patrick Roberts' and Jack Clarke's that just make a difference in football matches."
TALENT
"We need individual talent. Last year we had Amad to help with that. As we did with the team last year, we kept the team pretty solid, were brave in possession and got it to the front players, who could damage the opposition. Jack Clarke can obviously do that in this division. I think 11 goals and 13 assists last year, it's a real improvement for him and the test for us would be to get more from him this year."
NO RUSH TO LEAVE
"My conversation with him - and again, I don't get overly involved with what goes on behind the scenes - he said to me he loves playing here, he's in no rush to leave but if that's what pans out, he's a footballer, if he moves he moves. He's not stamping his feet or being petulant or creating a problem in training. He's working hard and enjoys his football."
OVERALL PERFORMANCE
"The first game, we needed a bit of a reminder that we needed to put pressure on and play on the front foot. The second game we shot ourselves in the foot with the two goals but worked our way back into it. We integrated the young lads in both games and we've scored seven goals. It was nice to come from behind twice and get a couple of victories, it'll do us good."
Nice appreciated so looks like a waiting game with everyone involved keeping there cards close to there chest, much prefer it this way than a game of Chinese whispershttps://www.a-love-supreme.com/single-post/mowbray-on-transfer-speculation

Ideally we'll get a striker and a dcm in, before we head out.Wonder if we'll sneak one in before we go to the US on Wednesday
got to take those values with a pinch of salt but its a brilliant indicator of progress
It's better than total difference being a negative number like it used to!
Other than Bent who have we bought and made a profit from?
Not many recently. PVA the last one that springs to mind although I think we sold Reece James for a marginal profit. It's better than total difference being a negative number like it used to!
