Didn't Collymore do it as well. Not scored for ages and hit a hattrick against us. One went in off the bottom of his studs, I think we lost 5-2 and we played well.

I remember it, I took my eldest nephew who lives down there. Leicester hadn't won for a while and if memory serves me right hadn't scored for a few games. He was crapping it cos he thought they would get battered! We left the ground with him singing "We've got Stan Collymore"!

Not saying he’s lying but the fact it’s even mentioned that “nothing imminent” suggests to me something is happening.
I would be disappointed if we lost him. I thought he was our best player last season. But if our club looks after players who would like to leave for non footballing reasons, more players will come here as a result.

Every day of the week, more to his game and great back to goal.
Can only go on what I saw, but in a Sunderland shirt, Simms for me was the better player. He was also playing Championship as opposed to Maja League One. I was surprised how many Maja scored, he often seemed to snatch at shots and they’d somehow trickle past a League One keeper. I’m not saying he was a bad player, just Simms the better of the two for me. Maja could have developed loads since and now be the better player, but I’ve never seen him kick a ball since he left.

Is it not a players decision? Sure I read on here that the player is a bit homesick?

mowbray told the press tonight that it’s because he’s not guaranteed to play and wants to be playing at his age.

it feels bonkers to me. At the very earliest I’d be letting him go in January once Seelt and triantis have bedded in, and Alese has recovered from his surgery.

Mind you if you combine what Mowbray has said this evening, with the “story” from Fishpaste that Batth has been told his deal won’t be renewed next summer - suggests that it may well be the case that he’s been told we won’t keep him beyond next season and he’s pissed off about it and wants to go somewhere he’s valued

but either way he’s a good pro. So he won’t force anything and will still work his arse off for us. I’m sure

Players shouldnt be guaranteed games, its up to them to earn it - for me baath seems the type thatll earn it

Definitely feels like theres more too it than that

Hope we keep him but if he goes he goes, will trust the clubs decision

I’d be very disappointed to see him go but it’s just the way the club is now.

Big faith being put in Triantis and Seelt. Anderson didn’t get a look in last season and Alese has had injury problems.
