Sure I read either here or RTG that Harvey had been scouting in Croatia and Australia this was pre triantis so could have some truth to it (hopefully)

The only recent article from "nogomania" regarding him is this one from 29th June which says he wants to leave but interest teams won't pay what Maribor want.

Personally would just move on from Simms.
We know what we get with him but realistically isn’t going to start over Stewart and we’ve signed someone who looks to be a great finisher and is built like a brick sh*thouse. Obviously unproven in English football but I’d put my money on him being better than Simms once he gets used to the league and I’m not just saying that because he’s our player. Simms is quite a lazy player he was more of a target man than anything else and we’ve signed someone who looks like he could fill that role no problem.
£3-4m could easily buy you a better striker than Simms in Europe. PSV signed Xavi Simons for that ffs.

I’d go for Simms if it was £4 million, tops. Everton won’t accept though so, like you said, we may end up getting a better player for similar money instead.
It’s a tough job for the recruitment team with the competition we’ll face. I think we did really well getting Semedo in as I bet a lot of good clubs were after him.
