No but they usually will have discussed it first.

By encouragement I don’t mean proactive and passionate encouragement. I just mean Burnley will have spoken to Harte and he has obviously not said “no don’t bother lads he’s staying”. Burnley think there’s a deal possible. And haven’t been told otherwise.
Again, not necessarily, clubs out bids in all the time
Batth going seems like have legs, would you be happy with those we’ve brought in given how injury prone Ballard and alese have been or should we be looking to get another older head in should he go?
Batth won't be going, he's our most solid and reliable defender

Said on here last week that I would like to see Bath get a new contract, would be a huge miss if he left. I trust the club to do what’s right though, he comes across as a solid bloke so if he is wanting to move on maybe he gave them the heads up last season giving us the chance to bring replacements in quick which we’ve done. I just don’t see him wanting to leave for Blackburn when we are on the verge of something good. I reckon he will stay

I’m catching up with the thread so sorry if you’ve already answered this but why do you say that?

He’s a good age, has a long contract and the basic stats he posted last season were exceptional. That’s without even considering his superb general performance.

There’s a load of precedent for such players going for bigger fees and transfer costs are only inflating at the minute.

We also need to remember that a hefty proportion of any fee will be going to Spurs so the amount we receive will need to be sizeable enough to compensate that.

there isn’t much money about but on reflection you might be right that later in the window somebody gets desperate

I think Baath is the best defender at the club personally. Would be a shame if he went and would leave a gap in my opinion. Ballard and ONien might be a good pairing. Alese next in line then we would have to see how Triantis adapts, the standard he has been used to hasnt been strong. Huggins if fit might allow Hume to go inside? Hey ho, I have talked myself into it, we have enough after all.

Does anybody have any idea on our FFP situation? I ask because it will be a factor in if and how we sell a player. West Ham have played a blinder in getting all the fee for Rice up front. It means they can re-invest it immediately without a bank loan at high interest rates I would imagine. If Burnley are serious about Clarke and we sell at say £14m, I wonder if that will need to be paid in one some up front, to allow us to re-invest it back into the squad this season. It does seem these multi year installments are going to be more difficult with interest rates being whay they are...

I think we should be given him a chance to prove his fitness over preseason as he does look a talent then we can decide at end of the window whether to keep or not
He will be the best full back at the club if he's fit, I love Hume but I think huggins is different class, would possibly let Hume move into the evans role

Wheatsheaf has a brilliant track record.
Fair enough I just must have missed it

All I remember is the Keane stuff and the takeover stuff. Both were full of everyone congratulating each other waiting the news to officially break and then it never did

Hard to say that with how few games he's played.

In fairness the Keane info he was passing on that he was getting was spot on it just went tits up, they club thought themselves he was signing which was a blessing itself

Just a bit of fun but who’s the three? I reckon matete on loan, and a few fringe maybe, but of the core unless serious money comes in can’t see any going anywhere.

Clarke, Stewart and Roberts all out on loan to Ipswich :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I reckon Matete (loan or perm), Anderson and possibly someone like Bennette or Taylor out on loan. Can see a couple of the u23/u21 going out too like Gardiner.

If you’re basing it on that alone then I’m not sure how you can say Magnus has a good track record and Wheatsheaf doesn’t.
As others have said, just believe what you want to and ignore what you don’t.

^ That’s not meant to sound arsey, I know why you asked the question, we’re all keen to know what’s going on behind the scenes.
