Dyche is a good judge of a player and doesn't think Simms is PL standard.

Therefore there's little point in us giving him a three/four/five year contract.

A season's loan is as far as I'd go but would still want another striker in.

I'd rather pay three or four times the price for Amad tbh.
I can't see Everton loaning him out in the last year of his contract. There's better forwards we could sign out there I'm sure.

I suspect our striker signings will be from overseas. I think the value is in some markets, but not in this country. Simms is a limited player in my opinion and not worth £3 or £4m. I would be surprised if we dont go for a european lad for decent money who ultimately goes on to be better than Stewart. Just guessing of course, but it is how I would be looking at striker targets.

Lots of players become officially free tomorrow. Wouldnt be surprised at all to see a couple of lads arrive over the next few days. Bradley Dack might be one, given our coach and head of recruitment. Might depend on Pritchard staying or going, but I could think of worse players to be in our matchday squad as a versatile forward (not a striker).

Hmm, Simms might not be pl standard now, which is what dyche wants, but he was starting to really improve under us. He could be pl standard with the right guidance and with the right team imo (but no guarantee of course)

I wouldn't pay 7m for him mind, that's stupid.

I reckon Simms is worth £3-4m if Gyokores is apparently worth £20m. Might not have link up play like Stewart but in terms of goals per minutes last season he was right up there with the best in the league.

I agree with that mate but trust the club entirely ...

... if we don't think he's worth the money, he isn't imo.

Don’t be silly - you’re essentially saying the club will never make another error of judgement or mistake ever again

You're wrong.

What I clearly said was that I currently trust the club.

I don't believe they'll knowingly, against all facts available, take wild risks or pay the clearly ridiculous fees we did for Grigg, Rodwell, Graham, etc, etc, etc.

They may make mistakes but not through the rash stupidity of the past.
