Not good enough for this level. Good move all around.
Agreed. Was "ok" at League One, but nowhere near the level for Championship.
Speakman made himself look a right knob when he called him our 3rd striker

One of those players that, fir ten seconds every 5 games, he looked like a world beater…. For the other hundreds of minutes and thousands of seconds, he looked utterly awful!!

His name will come back on here in the future ...

... in a Jason Steele way, someone else I supported in the face of relentless abuse <laugh>

I never saw it in Steele but I thought Dajaku got us up the pitch quickly and was a decent finisher.
I still think it’s the right move for the lad and wish him well for the future.

confirmation of 14 year-old goalkeeper Toby Bell’s departure for Chelsea from Sunderland is expected shortly. (The Athletic)

What sort of system is it that a club can take a bloody 14 year old?

Utterly shameful. And BTW, he could not possibly pick a worse club for himself. I'm assuming though, that it will be the best move for someone else .

Looked alright in league one but it's probably the right thing to do. Best of luck Leon.

We will miss your mam.

I still think there's a player in there, but he's not progressed the way he should have, so this is a big move for him. Whether it's fitness, attitude, homesickness, too many distractions etc. as to why he's not progressed is anyone's guess. I know he was ill during the back end of his first season with us, and had treatment in Germany for suspected meningitis (he was in hospital for a good few weeks) which might have stalled him a bit, but that doesn't explain why the loan move to St Gallen flopped. In the end the club has moved on and left him behind and you can't see him forcing his way into consideration. Moving him on is best for everyone.

My guess is he was given a chance early last season to be in the first team squad regularly and didn't take it. Mowbray said he was one of the cleanest strikers of a ball at the club, yet he was invisible when he had games, so they basically made their minds up before Christmas to move him on. The loan to St Gallen was the last chance for him to prove himself to us and put himself in the shop window and get a decent move, but failed. It'll be interesting to see what happens in Split for him.

To be fair he was never played in his preferred position, which is behind the striker. This is one where I think he wasn’t really given a fair crack before being judged because there was better players in the team.
