Unles he's willing to sacrifice around 90K per week in wages it isn't going to happen, lunacy to suggest it would.
That would still leave him on over £60k a week

Same here.
Mind you, my gut feeling is there are some surprises coming this summer recruitment wise which will make us a bigger threat in this league.
Personally hoping one of them is Miles Leaburn, he looks a hell of a prospect
I think folk are playing down how much time he'll get on the pitch this season. He finished last season strongly for Liverpool and is adored by Klopp. He'll more than likely by giving up his place in the squad for the Euros if he is playing in the Championship.
I reckon there's more chance of Nelson getting his eye back than Henderson signing for Sunderland this summer.

Nelson didnt lose his eye. It was always in his head, he just couldnt see out of it very well. In fact it isnt certain that he actually wore a patch. Although the fact that he is now just a pile of bones i suppose his quest to fill his skull with one of his now disintegrated eyeballs would be his crowning achievement.
I agree though. He was playing for England on Friday. If his arrival is a certainty at some point , it is a season or two too early me thinks.

He's huge!
Dennis's gear is .... questionable![]()
When you look at the coin players are getting to play in Saudi and what he's already on at Liverpool then it would be a miracle if came back. No matter how much it would mean to him its still a massive cut in wages.Couldn’t think of anyone better for Neil, Ekwah and jobe to learn from than Henderson, would be an unbelievable bit of business if we did somehow pull it off but I just can’t see it while he’s still and England regular with the euros coming up
Quality of opposition isn't great down here and that would drag him down. It would be a big step up for him again playing against the better international sides and I doubt Southgate would take the risk especially at his age.I get the bit about Henderson’s salary, but dropping down to the Championship shouldn’t affect his ability to play in the euros. The bloke is the ultimate professional and it’s not like he is starting his career, playing here would not affect his performances in the slightest. IMO of course

I wonder if there is behind the scenes politics at play where the Saudis buy these players then move them onto say Barca for reduced fees / favours.Getting a bit wild this Saudi craic.
I get Ronaldo and Benzema but I don’t get prime players going.
Was great to see Messi go a different way. I know MLS is semi retirement for him but it wasn’t financial, was close to Argentina and something he would still enjoy.
Seeing Neves go there is a real shame. Nobody will ever give a **** about that league.

Its not like the Saudi clubs need the money, but they do need favours
I was thinking it more in the Neves case, Barca want him but are skint and we all know they want a super league / more dominance.Aye there were rumours of Benzema to Toon weren’t there. Million a week cost them nowt.

I wouldnt be suprised to see some unusual deals
