See Everton in talks with Jack Harrison and wilfried Gnonto. Could rule them out for jack Clarke now.
So will I mate, the lad is top quality.... but the position we are in now is....is it 25 or 30m etc. A far cry from where we have been over the last decade or more. I thinknwe have only made a profit on about 5 players in that time or something like that. I think we will get one more season out of Jack.
anybody else think he looks like a bigger, butch version of Bali Mumba? You must log in or register to see media
If we get promoted i reckon he would sign a 5 year deal with us. Wingers are always a bit frustrating to watch but I could watch him all day tbh. Always gets me off my seat when he gets it in the final third. Which is one of the main reasons I like watching football tbh.I'm hoping for at least 2, get us promoted this season then one in Premier league before going for about 60 million!

Striker?Looking at another lad from Portugal from one of the top sides. Not sure if it's a contingency yet or not
It's not just saving a few grand a week, we are not sure about the details of his offer but just say its £15000 a week which is what some have suggested, on a 5 year deal which is what the club seem to like at the minute that is 4 million, however I'm sure there will be add ons in there, let's say it rises to 30000 if we get promoted that's another 3 million, so the contract could be worth 7 million if we get promoted this season, if the club allow his to sign a new contract and he never gets back to full fitness or close to what he was there's the problem.I don't see how it's sensible from the club to take the offer off the table (not that I believe they have done that).
In my opinion, it pretty much ends any good relationship with Stewart and the club. If he is the player he was, he has all the power because we didn't tie him down to a new deal when he was injured. If he isn't quite as good as he was, then he sits out him last year, potentially as an unhappy player around the squad and leaves on a free transfer.
The downside of losing our star striker of potential premier league quality is far greater than the upside of saving a few grand a week. That's a gamble by the club that could massively backfire.
Winger, rapidStriker?
Personally I’d struggle to make an argument for a better striker than Stewart in the Championship last season. Obviously a few been relegated just now who are quality but I’d be surprised if they’re still here start of the season ie Rodrigo/Iheanacho.
He’s massive for how we play and I’d love him to stay but as I’ve said before you can’t fault him for leaving if another team are offering much more money, especially the age he’s at. I’d be disappointed if it’s to Stoke and we get blown out of the water by them. I understand the project we’re trying to build and appreciate picking up younger players through cheaper fees but ultimately if we’re offering 1/3 of the wages that mid table championship clubs are willing to offer we’ve no chance of retaining our best players.
That must be worth a few quid mind. I thought Everton were skint.See Everton in talks with Jack Harrison and wilfried Gnonto. Could rule them out for jack Clarke now.
Or contingency in case Ten Haag is very impressed with Diallo?I'll ask to see if I can. The lad is a winger so might only be a contingency incase someone leaves
I see Triantis is injured, hopefully not serious.

For the club to let him sign now they would have to bank on him being fit, if not we are in the same position as this season, the club cannot afford to bring in another top 2 strikers just incase.
The offer is not off the table, just not able to be signed until he's proved his fitness, if he does I'm sure he will sign.
If there's any bad feeling between Stewart and the club it will have started when his agent tried to play hard ball, Stewart didn't want to go anywhere but his agent would have been suggesting he could get a lot more elsewhere and trying to use this as leverage to get a better deal.
I will be over the moon if he signs, his main strength isn't even scoring goals its how much space he creates for all our other attacking players.
If he hadn't been injured this whole saga would have been sorted by now.
The club need to cover there options for every outcome. They took so much criticism last season for the striker situation, letting Stewart sign a new deal without knowing his fitness situation could give us a repeat of this season
We're in market for another winger hence the kebano links?
A mate i was talking to a couple of days ago was saying Portugal was an environment we have been scouting a bit. Said he reckons we might get a couple of players from there, beyond the lad we have been linked with.I'll ask to see if I can. The lad is a winger so might only be a contingency incase someone leaves
