Exactly what I like to hear. Can remember a few games last season where we were desperate for a change in the middle of the park and we only had young inexperience on the bench.
Two experinced players linked (fingers crossed we can get them over the line). Expect one maybe two big players to leave. (There is a strategy with finance in the first team of being sustainable). My worry is Stewart. However, a great start to the transfer season.
Honestly and I know it’s massive long shot (but far from impossible, he’s a round Mackem), the impact getting Jordan in with these lads would potentially have would be crazy.
It’s likely he does another year there I’m sure but we all fancy he finishes career here what a time this would be for him to do that.
Imagine Jordan captain alongside Ekwah in that deeper area, would be superb.

I've heard about teams signing players early in the transfer window before, strange when it happens to Sunderland!
I bloody hope not. 3 signed - all prospects. 17, 19 and 20 year old iirc. We can’t be done, yet.
Clarke still seems the most obvious departure to me.
I’ll be gutted but it’ll largely be on the club’s terms at least and I have full faith we’ll reinvest a proportion of the fee to better the squad as a whole.
Still SpeadEx as well. I'm sure I read a rumour somewhere about trying to get out of the deal but they must be staying.

Had a look at this (I’d held off till was done).
Looks a big, athletic lad. Great feet. Thing that stands out is composure.
Looks a great link player likes to drop deep and can pick a pass.
I’m sold on him, as a 2 with Stewart he’d be an absolute weapon.
