The real acid test (for the fanbase, and fans of this model) is when we come to sell some of our prized assets. Will people be as complimentary if Jack Clarke goes to Palace fr £15m, or Dan Ballard to Burnley for £20m?
I reckon I would take £20m for Ballard personally. Very good player, but that would be hard to turn down.

Its very much a long term signing this. Hope nobody expects the lad to have much of an impact this season. When you see him run and move it looks like he's still surprised by his body - he's just had a major growth spurt and is a bit gangly.

A year working with the first team and in the gym, and towards end of season or next season he could be a player. He's over 4 years younger than Ekwah who took time to get used to things.

Only 18 months older than Chris Rigg as well. Would make a decent two man midfield for our U18s :D

I know you were only joking but he didn't move here to play in the u18s.

I'd expect an impact this season. Won't be starting straight away but he'll be in and around the first team quick enough I reckon, impact from the bench same as mitchut

Dont think its nessarily to do with the model, think its just football these days. Will always lose players to teams higher up the league or bigger clubs - the difference now is we actually have players that other teams want

The test will be on the recruitment team replacing them rather than anything to do with the model

by impact I meant a significant one. I’m sure he will play. But whether he’s a starter even semi regularly yet, I doubt. But if I’m wrong that’s pretty exciting, right?

Yes I think you are wrong but yes that is very exciting mate
I think he will get a boat load of game time due to injuries etc...pretty much like Triantis will too.

Yep. But this really should be no surprise when it happens. It's been said often enough, and as long as its on our terms, fair enough.
