Am I the only one that thinks Roberts has a more rounded game than Amad and actually may well prosper even more bit giving him the ball?

Cos I do think this.

Still love Amad back mind, I just think PR thinks a bit more, Amad brilliant on instinct but that why sometimes anonymous.

I agree with you, Roberts is an exceptional talent and was in Amad's shadow a bit. This season he could be immense.

I think Amad is better at doing what they're both best at, but Roberts is as good as anybody else at this level, and agree has more to his game. So completely agree that Amad going could allow him to flourish and also allow us to play a more balanced team. As Mowbray had no option in the end but to play Roberts, Amad and Clarke together.

Yeah we have about 50 wingers and all look suitable for the Championship.

I think CM may be OK with Neil, Ekwah, Evans, Matete, Ba and Embleton (plus Bellingham if he signs) but we could do with another experienced centre half. It's difficult to work out what we might need as surely there is no way the squad will be decimated by injuries like last season. I don't think a single team would have coped comfortably with the number of key players missing that we had.

On paper we actually have a decent size squad when you look at it, with at least one cover for each position other than up front.
Whether we sign a winger will be dependent upon how Lihadji n jewi look in preseason plus dont think we have a natural LM other than Clarke

CM is an area we need to be strong, matete isnt up to the standard we need, evans is out till xmas so that leaves neil ekwah bellingham n ba - potentially embleton might be classed here as well. Still think we need another defensive minded player in there in case neil is injured or needs rested

We def have a decent size squad but reckon a few will go out on loan and we will bring in real quality to kick us on

I’m hoping Amad doesn’t come back. He’s a loan player we’ve had a great season with but we need to let our own players come in. A second season blocks that out. He filled a gap (magnificently) but one of our own needs to be in that spot now.

I can see a few players getting shifted out, either on loan or perm, to make room in the squad. On the right side we should have plenty of cover for Roberts I'm just not sure about the left.

Yeah I'm confident about our scouting network. I said two seasons back that KLD has so many contacts throughout the world of football, that he will bring in players that are so under the radar. And, he did. I believe that this close season will show a couple of marquee signings. I just feel that KLD has been waiting for this kind of moment to show his colours and his inentions to push on.

Players will want to come here....

If he is in the right mind with a following wind he could outshine Clarke imo.

I think cover for Clarke or number 10 might be his best position atm

Yeah, when he came on at Luton and his first touch was to absolutely dump his man with a shimmy, I thought straight away ‘maybe a wide man’

I think we have signed a couple that folk don’t realise how big a coup they were, Ba is one, massively rated in France, and Lihadj is another, very well known as a youngster (scout will back up).

Some of the finds and signings have been immense potentially and aren’t yet being appreciated.

Big year for some of these, make your mark lads.

Yeh all this talk of no deal being discussed for Clarke is a bit moot when you have Roberts, Stewart and Cirkin out of contract next summer. Deals for all three would be nice. Stewart seems unlikely obvs
